edited March 2011 in Just for Fun
What r ur opinions of females getting pregnant Tu raise the baby with the girl frend or wife? My frend did this but Idk how it will last becuz she is going through a faze and is more twoards bi but n e way the other is two guys raising a baby together. I think tht they have Tu b very strong Tu deal with society...and it doesn't affect the babies sexuality so go for it if its what u want... even though a sin .....we all sin n no sin is greater.... just and interesting. • I think its wonderful! Everyone deserves to be a parent! But...straight...gay...lesbian..bi...you still have to be responsible! Provide the best environment for your baby and teach them right from wrong.
  • No I dont like to think about It I have not mean to say bout gay people I just dont think its okay if it was im guessin god would have made man an woman so a man could breed next man an same for woman but he didnt I believe he did this for a good reason god knows whats best for us so no I dont think two man or two woman should bring up children thats men not every one have the same believes we all think differently
  • Sorry bout spellin my phones playin up :-(
  • Amen sister !
  • oh...by the way...I'm catholic...i love god! But.im sticking to what I said in my last post...congrats to all you ladies! Hope your pregnancy is wonderful!
  • Anyone who can give love, support, & stability to a child should have the right to raise one. But that's all I'm going to say on this one, enjoy the rest of the convo ladies. :D
  • i think that it is there perogative on what they do... i was "raised"spent alot of time with my lesbian aunts... one aunt has a daughter from rape who was raised with me with them... the only thing i have a hard time with is not knowing that man and women go together also... my aunts always hid it from my cousin and i... they only recently told us the truth... (although we knew most of our lives, one aunt is the manly one with a mullet and only wears boy clothes and the other is really girly but tough) we are well rounded because we know that they love eachother and for some it is not a choice for others it is the only choice they have... my cousins mom was beat nearly to death by the man who raped her and could never see herself with a man again and my other aunt filled that spot for her... and we both turned out straight my cousin has two kids with her ex husband and i am pregnant with my first... i also have a good friends both gay who decided to have a baby together while not being together... the mom gets her 3 days one week 4 the next. and their daughter is 10 now with two daddys and two mommys... it worked out... other than her being spoiled rotten... so other than religious reasons i see no reason why not...

  • i just wanted to say using religion as a reason 2 people should not have children is a little weird... and like @firsttimemommytobe said the bible says alot... for instance "Giants" just sayin... and i was raised in a devout catholic home we observed everything but we also 'accepted' my aunts.. even if they werent out of the closet yet.

  • @firsttimemommytobe when i realized some of the things i read in the bible were messed up i used it as guidelines for living my life. it says man and man cant get married ok dont let them get married let them have a civil union to celebrate there love for eachother... no harm no foul... i just think that if someone can love a child be it two women two men a pack of wolves(rome?) and raise them to be good people why not... i just cant say no you cant do that when the bible states no incest yet it also states that he made only adam and eve??? weird... but hey... i can live with the no incest thing though thats good in my books...
  • I'm all for it!

  • Imo, two consenting adults in a stable relationship, regardless of sexuality, should have the right to parent. Gay/lesbian parents tend to be, on the whole, more financially stable (because of the need for adoption, surrogacy, or invitro and the costs associated) and are often less likely to separate (according to the few studies that have actually been done on the subject--there's isn't a ton of research, tho). Just some interesting info. :)
  • I understand religous beliefs, but I also think that parenting shouldn't be based on your sexuality. If two people can love a child unconditionally and raise that child in a stable and loving environment then their sexuality shouldn't matter. I understand what the Bible says, but I also can't imagine our Father, who loves us unconditionally, would rather His children spend a life time alone or in a false relationship than be happy with someone of the same sex. I'm not trying to offend anyone and hope I have not - those are just my thoughts on the topic.
  • I think its great. A child raised by same sex parents can be just as well off and loved as a child from a straight couple. I was also a member of GSA in high school.

  • I think it wonderful! Why shouldn't they just because of their sexuality? If they want to be parents then go for it, I don't think anyone has the right to say they can't or shouldn't.
  • @almost4 hallelujah to that
@jenn_929 im glad it went in this direction too... this is one topic i would've stood up for no matter how many people said different
@victoriab i am neither gay nor bi but i was a member of GLSBT(gay-lesbian-straight-bisexual and transexual) club in my school it was a fun experiance and i made some really great friends who still get together and have fun...
  • Wait I didn't no tht the Bible said tht ma n man couldn't lay dwn tugethor or couldn't get married...... tht kinda hurts my heart..... Idk.... does anyone know where at in the holy bible? I always stick up for gays n stuff.... duz tht mean I'm going against. God?
  • @jenn_929 no I don't love my babies or teach them anything cuz I don't have any yet lol ;) but yea I understand what u r saying ..... its just a shame tht gay ppl have Tu go through life unaccepted
  • leviticus 18:6-29 gives you the sexual laws but lev18:22 is the exact one "

" do not practice homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a wonan, it is a detestable sin."
    leviticus 18:22(nlt)
  • yep years of catholic school... and now i have more questions then when i started...
  • hahaha cold day in hell that'll be expecially now that im already prego!!!! lolz @jenn_929
