How Soon is too soon to shop for baby items?

I'm 12 weeks 3 days along..but still a little nervous to start shopping..I dont know the sex of the baby just yet, but I want start looking at bedding and neutral colors..I'm scheduled for another ultrasound at 13 weeks 4 days..I thought it would be "safe" to wait until after the appointment, but mom thinks that is unnecessary..shes already started purchasing things..

    Im only 8 weeks and i can't wait to shop. I have already started looking but haven't bought anything yet.

    I am TTC and i have already bought a few things. I live in central NY so i know i will need things like blankets and warm stuff. I have already bought a few 4oz bottles and im starting to stock up on 8oz bottles. i have white onsies for newborn, 3-6, 6-9 and 9-12. can never have too many of those. learned that with my neices and nephew. i have a few blankets and i have everything else picked out for both genders. As soon as i get my BFP im going out and buying the travel system and glider. :)

    I don't think its ever too soon! Just don't go crazy, baby will grow out of clothes and diapers fast. Don't want to have a bunch of baby clothes that your little one never wears. Maybe wait until you know the sex - if you are going to find out that is.

    Just remember all the sufficient u buy is going to be sitting around for almost a year collecting dust... as far as clothes its fun to wait till u know the sex ;)

    This is my third child, last one ended in miscarriage..my youngest is going to be five in may..its almost like I have to start all over again..and it seems a little overwhelming..

    I'm 17.4 weeks and I dnt noe the sex yet but I started shopping I got my travel system and orderd to crib already its never too early

    Today I'm buying my first thing! I have been waiting for 5 months and I found out yesterday its a girl:)

    I started shopping at 5 months. But my family thinks that I should've waited til 7 months but ill be 7 months nxt week nd my baby is fine. So when yu are. For sure it will make it in the wrld if it was born ill start that's what I did

    My moms the one going crazy. I'm 14 weeks and she's already bought the bed and a few clothes items...I think she feels like this is her baby. Haha. But I'm with you, I'm afraid its still to early. Good luck!

    I started buying at 14 wks after my ultrasound. I went straight from the OB to Ikea to buy a crib. I had the whole nursery set up by 5 months lol

    I bought onesies and socks and two outfits at 12 weeks. Haven't boughtanything since but find out gender hopefully at my 3d ultrasoujnd nxt Tuesday I can't wait til I'm 20 weeks so I'm getting it a four months :)

    I don't usually shop till 28 weeks (viability). This time if its a boy (I have 4.5 girls) I plan on doing it slowly by taking our girl stuff to mom to mom sales first.

    Im 15 weeks and already bought onesies bibs pacifiers mittens socks. But all yellow whit n green i fnd out bbys gender on da 29th so im gna wait till then.

    Everyone kept telling me to wait until after my baby shower to see what I would get and then finish up the shopping. So that's what I did.

    @mummylady83 A rocking chair which glides back and forth instead of arching like a regular rocking chair. In my opinion, they tend to be more comfortable.

    I'm 14 weeks 1 day and I haven't bought anything. I've done lots of looking tho! I already know which stroller and what kind of crib I want. I looked at clothes and bedding too. My mom and I are going to make the bedding ourselves. I'm a knitter and I've already started making a cute squid hat :)

    I started shopping as soon as I found out! Not a lot. Just fun lil things. Its really good to get things like diapers, in all sizes. The infant ones get grown out of fast. But bottles, bedding, blankets, cleanign suplies, all things you will need and if you buy that stuff now, you can use your money for the fun stuff after you find out sex and what you want. Then your not stuck trying to come up with the money to buy it all at once!

    I'm in full on TTC-mode, and we have already bought a few things. I have a forehead temperature reader, a set of graduated medicine dispensers (spoon, dropper, etc), a rubber ducky blanket, a Bumpkin super bib (neutral), and a few sets of assorted sizes of neutral onesies. :) So, soon is never too soon, depending on the person. I have them all tucked away for the time I need them.
