severe headache

I woke up this morning with the worse headache of my life. It feels like someone is hammering my eye. I feel like crap had to call in to work and have been stuck in a dark room all day. Tylonol hasn't worked and I don't know what to do. Anyone with a suggestion would be nice. Please.

    I have the same problem, but I have the flu. The pharmacist said there wasn't anything else I could take... but maybe your doctor would know better?

    I get lots of head achs also...so i ask my doc and she told that head ach can cause not enough water..so drink lots water and it might go away..will for me it does work...

    I drink 8 8oz glasses of water a day. I can't eat with this headache. Everytime I eat or drink I throw it right back up. Sigh.

    yea i hate those head ach that make you throw up...but you got to try to keep something in your belly...eat like salten crackers.something light..and the water drink with lots of ice..maybe that would help

    I had this last week an just had to lay in silence in a dark room. It's just started up again for me and I'm stuck at work for the next few hours! Wish me luck :-(

    I'm with u! Except mine is caused by a raging sinus infection. Dr concerned bc I've had it for almost 6 mo now. But it puts me out. U can take extra strength tylenol. Try a vaporizer. Also a heating pad on ypur head, forehead or neck. 15 on 15 off. Or a very very warm wash cloth on ur face.

    Water helps me right away...but my grandma (old mexican lady) used to put potato slices on my forehead when I was little...worked every time...i haven't done that for a very long time though...forgot about it till now

    Well ladies, it was a tad more serious then just a headache. I called my midwife and told her everything that was going on because I rarly get headaches. I told her that I had been taking the medication they gave me at my last appointment and appreantly I am having a bad reaction to the antibiotics that they have prescribed me. :( so I need to be off my medication, which may lead to kidney problems and hopenthat this headache goes away.

    Ive had this head all day now..cant sleep coz of it... Had it a few weeks ago for 2 days grrr... I am drinking loads but not sure if its coz im constipated.. Cant help it..
