I live upstairs from my mother and I used to pay rent! Reason I say used t is b/c i stopped! She doesnt fix anything in this house. I've lived her for almost 3 yrs and nothings been fixed since then. The ceilings leaking, walls are crumbling, and im starting to get mold. She keeps asking me for rent but I tell her to fix something and she gets mad. Idkwhat to do anymore. Help!

    Its easy to say but really rent is expensive where i live. Just for a 2 br its $1200. Im on bedrest right now so i really dont have money. :-(

    Start using the money you would use to pay rent to start fixing stuff and show her the receits ! Or call health dept they will make her fix it!

    she says she doesnt. But she just bought a new car and and shes always going shopping. I tell her ill use the rent money to fix things and she says no she needs the money.

    If I call the inspectors she'll just cause drama! Ive don it once before b/c when i first moved in u could smell gas. and 2 weeks later she didnt want to fix it so I called. I told her im your daughter and it seems like you dont care. All she does is fight wit me.

    I think i will. Its just hard since im on bed rest to do things. I feel like she should help me but all she does is make me stress even more! ugh!
