The "ring of fire" is??? Other than a pretty lame carnival ride... I've never really heard of it and it slightly concerns me lol. (don't be afraid to be graphic I don't scare easily)

  • I have never experienced it myself since I had epidurals with my first two, but from what I understand it'd the burning sensation as your baby crowns during delivery. I however could be completely wrong

  • Oh fun so its not quite the horrific image I had bern worrying about lol. I like that song lol
  • I had an epidural and even with that it was still painful when she was crowning and when her shoulders were coming through it definitely felt like it was on fire

  • Yes, that's what it is. And it burns... I remember it hurting so bad I was sick to my stomach, but then when it was over it was the best relief ever. If that makes any sense. Like it could only have been that big of a relief because it was SO much pain... Just the feeling of your vagina skin being stretched. I didn't even feel the doctor cutting me because of the pain from everything else going on. Yet I'm having another kid... LOL. Oh and I remember feeling really hot at that point too...
  • Oh fun :S I think I may go with the epidural
  • I didn't feel any ring of fire and I had a natural delivery
  • I felt the fire for my 1st delivery! natural! Second.. Nope that was natural.. Third yup!! With epi. I hope this one skips too.
  • I don't know from experience, I just heard that it happens when the baby is crowning & it burns...Makes me think of the show "one born every min"! Haha, there was a lady that was literally screaming "The ring of fire" as it was happening to her...I couldn't help but laugh @ that:)
  • It's that sucky part when the baby is crowning when ur n labor. Only fire if u don't use an epidural, can't really feel it if u do.
  • ok... well i wast totally wrong!!!! i was gonna say it is the chain of active volcanoes surrounding the pacific plate cause by conduction of one plate under the other which causes fissures in the crust allowing magma to escape up ward... ummm... yeah...
  • ok, apparently some feel it with an epi, I didn't. tho with my first I was yelling for a bed pan and telling my poor Dr im gonna crap on u if u don't giveme a bed pan!! Apparently pushing and pooping feel exactly the same it turns out, Lmao!!! [-( coulda warned a girl, all I'm saying.
  • @jalem LOL! That's all I could think of too!
  • @kriss82001 apparently im not the only science/geography nerd in the house!!!
