update on baby charles :)

my little cousin cheyenne had a drs appt with a specialist at the childrens hospital in milwaukee. her first diagnosis from a local specialist was that baby charles didnt have any membrane on his spinal cord and that he more than likely wont make it to the age of 2 and would probably pass before his 6month bday. well this specialist did lots of ultrasounds and an mri. and good news!!! he does have membrane over his spinal cord. he just has a very small opening on it. the doctors prognosis was that baby charles might have small learning disabilities and will be a delayed walker. he sees no reason that baby charles will not live a full and healthy life! im just hoping this is really the case. im so happy for her!

    yes we are all very happy! we are just trying not to be too happy because of the fear of them beingwrong. but we rkeepingour hopes up. im taking her shopping tomorrow for baby and her :)

    thank you :) she staying strong and is very positive so far. this baby is the definition of miracle baby. and he has had such and impact on cheyennes life. she is byfar the most mature 15yr old i know. im so proud of her

    I'm so glad to hear that the baby has a chance to have a pretty normal live, but it still is a lot to take in for someone so young, you and your family must be proud of the way she's handling things:)

    Awe that's great news! Again as I said in the past I was 15 when I got pregnant and besides my heigth everyone that got to know me said I looked 10 but acted as if I were 20 in a good way! Something like a baby will in most cases mature a young adult in so many ways! Her situation is terrie but I'm so happy to hear some positive out of this!!! Good luck to her and your family! As well as the baby!!!!

    Is it spina bifida? My nephew has that and hes doing great. There are TONS of support groups to help you through the rough times too...

    yes he was diagnosed with spina bifida. at first very severe sb but now it looks like its going to b acase of mild sb.
