How to make a tutu dress... I really don't like watching video I rather it have a step by step and pictures...I want to make naliyah Pocahontas costume as a tutu dress...any help would be appreciated

Its super easy.. I'm over my head making tutu costumes i just made a cookie monster one

@mommylovessparkle I have a roll of tule of 25 yards and another roll of 12 yards...will that be enough for her dress or do I need more also should I measure the elastic a little smaller then her actual size?

Ok are you making a full dress all tulle? Like a long tutu but pulled up to her underarms? What size is she?

I really don't use elastic because i don't want it to indent her skin. I use ribbon its easier and you can tie a bow

that should be enough for the dress if you want it fuller I'd use another 12 yd roll

@nameless she's 1 and is almost 33in long... I'm making one if those empire waist ones

Oh ok.. well I always use elastic..looks and holds nicer and if you want nice n full I'd recommended 2 rolls maybe more actually 3 or just a yard of some off the bolt because it's thicker and will fill more --does that make sense?

@nameless yea I hadn't used the whole tule roll yet but I just finished the whole roll and its getting fuller...I hand to go get another roll tomorrow and hopefully I can finish her costume tomorrow so that if it needs last minute adjustments I can do that Tuesday
