time change & routines

So this time change has my lo all out of wack! She got up at 6:30 this morning and has now been in her nap since 9:15. She went to bed at 8:135-8:30 last night. Normally bedtime is 9-9:15 and she gets up anywhere from 8-9am and takes her nap around 11-12 and usually sleeps for 2-3 hours. Idk how to get her back on that schedule. Do I slowly try and keep her up later before she lays down for her nap? This is only day 2 of the time change so I know it'll take couple days, but idk how to even try and get her back to where she was. Advice??

  • Psh, my daughter was up at 5:30 and went to bed at 5pm by the time I got her to daycare she was ready for a nap, I'm gonna die next week when I start work :/
  • Over the next couple days try to get her back to her normal bedtime. After that, everything should readjust itself.
  • My daughter has been up since 6:30 to ugh I'm so tired lol
  • Wow! 5pm?! That's crazy! @kimberly4411 good luck the the job.
@sands3 that's what I was thinking and we tried to last night but then realized to her it was already way past bedtime. I figured if we keep her up longer through out the day then we will be back to normal in a couple days. If we keep her up till 10 tomorrow and then back to 11 on wed, we should be back to normal by Thursday.
@mrz_jackson me too!! I was not ready to getting up that early lol
  • My daughter stayed on her routine somehow. The night of time change she went to bed at her normal time woke up few minutes before 9 which is her normal routine. And later that night I put her down at her normal time and she's still asleep which is normal. I think it's what time we put them to bed night before. They don't know what time it is but still sleep same amount of hours hopefully :). I'm sure she will go back to normal soon.
  • Keep her up a bit later.
  • Glad I'm not the only one! McKinley went to bed at 900, usually in bed at 730, was up at 7, and is now refusing to nap even though she's so tired! I don't know if its time change, a bad day, teeth or cold. All I know is its not even ten and I'm exhausted already!!!
  • @jules lucky! I think we put her to bed at the same time the night before.
@mommylovessparkle she get extremely cranky if she gets too tired, but I will try.
@natashalynn glad I'm not the only one. Hope she gets back to a normal schedule for you soon too!
  • @trixiesmom8 lol ya I got one thing that's good sleeper... Which I can use with all the other stuff going on.
  • Mine slept til normal time lol
  • stayed good for us we up at 10ish am
  • We were lucky, we were away for the weekend so the baby had a slightly later night, slept right through the time change. Hope it sorts out soon, if it is a real problem just try extending it by 15 mins a night, she will soon be back on track x

We got lucky, my lo has been going to sleep earlier and waking up earlier. Which is awesone because we both work so we're up early.
