All birth control has the risks. Well, except Paraguard because that is hormone free, but that comes with the risk of uterine punctures. All medications, including birth control, carry serious risks. Inform yourself, watch for problems and decide which option is best for you. Nothing you put into your body is risk free.

I myself am against birth control, I don't mind if other people take it, its just not for me. I just don't see how you can say death is a "normal risk." Yes, it is a risk but its definitely not normal. Not trying to start an argument or debate just stating my opinion.
I was never starting a argument. I was simply stating that any medication carries serious risks. Allergic reactions, strokes, blood clots, etc. All of which can cause death. I myself cannot take birth control due to blood clots. If I got a clot, I could die. Birth control is notorious for causing clots and people have died from them. It happens all the time. Unfortunately, it is very normal. The reason they make these ads is for them to get clients and make money. They do these ads for a lot of different medications, surgeries, implants like knee replacements, bladder mesh, hip replacements, etc. Nuva ring is just another one they decided to make an ad for.
