So we have one of these.

And I need another one for a different vehicle. This safety 1St one is very large and we haven't even looked to Deere if it'll fit in the car. The van it should for sure anyway. I was thinking about getting this one

But the reviews for small cars concern me. We drive a 08 Malibu so its not that small. Anyone have this carseat?

  • The image on the first one does not work but my cousin has the Eddie bower one in his car for both kids and fits really well and can still fit another if he has another and his car isn't to big.
  • I have a evenflo one is amazing and my car isn't that big works great and very safe.
  • One you forward face the safety 1st it isn't as huge. I had the same complaint but love the seat.
  • DO NOT GET THE EDDIE BAUER!!!! We got that one and I seriously regret it! You have to put a towel under it for rear facing and every time we tighten the harness it falls backwards. The only way I felt remotely secure is if it was up against the front seat. But I still never felt safe. Any car seat that falls backwards (no matter how tight the latch was... Trust me both hubby and I would sit in it too push it down to tighten) just by me pulling the harness tight does not seem safe enough to withstand an accident. We ended up getting another one and use it as emergency back up (so never so far lol just collecting dust).

This is the one we got to replace the Eddie Bauer, we have a small car too (which is why we originally got the Eddie Bauer). This one does not need any towel or pool noodle under it and latches tightly super easily! And very safe! If it's not in the middle seat it does still hit the front seat but my 6'1 hubby fits in the front seat with no problems. We have a Ford focus. So small back seat!
  • The first one doesn't show. But we have the same one as @smcox its kind of pricey but its a 3 in 1 so you'll never have to buy another seat again. I love it. We had a little bit of trouble getting it into our back seat, but now that its in, it fits just nice.
  • Yes that's like the one we have, like @trixiesmom8 and @smcox mine has cup holders tough it's great and is soo nice in there plus I love how it will be a boster for later and it's more heavy duty and has good cup holders and the arm rest which is perfect cause I found this tray you can set on it for snakes or drawing whatever to keep them entertain during longer car rides. Oh and you can take out the first layer to wash without having to take the entire thing apart.
  • We got our evenflo at babies r us during the trade in sale. So we only paid a little over $100, they are actually having their trade in sale right now.
  • I got and evenflo and its great I think they got it at Walmart for 40 dollars
  • We kept our carrier carseat, so we can use it the next time around. They are good for 5yrs before they "expire". I forgot about the trade in thing..but we didn't get ours at babies r us, we got ours at target(the carrier carseat).
