So im due tomorrow with my second baby and im thinned out but not dilating at all dr wants to induce me after monday but is afraid baby will be to big to deliver (8-9 lbs ) and would have to have a c section but is considerin waiting till next week on friday but same thinks ill have to have a c section I tried to explain to her that I had extra fluid with my daughter so she never dropped or my water never broke. I only dilated to a 1 1/2 with . Daughter and was a week late with her would that make any differance. With delivery of my son also im sick too on top of it will they make me wait if . Sick

    my Dr. said I was gonna have a big baby was a lie my boy was 7 lbs but I did have a c section I didn't open past 4 : ( I was induce that was no fun and then end up with a c section. that ended being fast lol if I would of knew before I would of went straight to the c section lol r u nervous? I bet ur ready to pop that lil Guy out lol

    @roxy Im more worried then anything cuz if my daughter ive never been away from her especially at night honestly ive been ready for him to come out and I dont want to wait to long cuz ive already got my leave from work for it and if he takes longer to come my boss wont extend it cuz we have 2 guys leaving for the army in april and 1 girl leavi ng for nursing school and another. Who wants to take a cpa class in Vegas but everybody knew when I w as having my baby and I feel they r being inconsiderate even though I have seniority over them and then to have my dr want to wait to see . I dilate on my own even after I told her eveverything I feel that she dont like to listen to anything my old dr though has been worried about me sincen I saw her for 2 separate yeast infections cuz they never cleared up even now she is cuz ive been dizzy and have had a headach for days and im swelling so bad, I just hope my dr dont make it to deliver ans she has to have my old dr do it just saying she dont really like big girls having babies

    that's what I worry to when I do get prego again and deliver being away from my lil Guy. ur Dr. is being mean I dnt c y she dnt listen to u. and ur job if ur manager was smart she should have back ups just n case if worst comes to worst I'm sure she can't fire u right

    @roxy no she cant fire me, and she knows she can bring someone from another store but she dont like. The fact that im pregnant again since my lo is barly going to be 2 and we have fought about it awhile ive never missed work while pregnant either time unless its for being really sick but that was like only 1 time eaxh time and it was for a cough that would not go away but she also dont like my bf cuz he just got laid off work and Im having him stay home for the month im off especially in the beginning cuz I know I cant do it with 2. On my own But she feels I should leave him and raise the kids on my own only cuz he is younger then me and I dont make him get a "real" job cuz he works in a warehouse. But makes dang good money and he is only off work for a couple months im sorry I did not mean to make this a vent about work

    @lilloulou well first off, your manager is an ass and will have to make something work until you can go back to work. You cannot go back until your doctor gives you the ok. Im pretty sure he/she cannot fire you and if that does happen, there has to be some kind of law that supports you.

    Second, i don't understand. What exactly do you want your doctor to do that he/she won't do?

    wth y is she even all up in ur business with ur bf she crazy and I think I know what u mean about warehouse I use to wrk at a couple good over time and double time but there mostly seasonal its OK u can vent about what ever lol

    @perly I have days were I really "dislike" my boss but I put up with her as to my dr. I only want her to listen to what I'd been telling her she would never tell me anything about what has been going on with this pregnancy like today I was supposed to have an ultrasound but she cancelled it and wants me to wait till monday and doesnt explain why just that she is worried. . I want to know can. My first pregnancy havw a factor on this one like how my water never broke h having extra fluid too or how I barley dilated with my daughter but I had her vaginally I ended up dilating after getting the epidural but it wore off right befor I had her also can my dr have me wait ro have my baby if im sick

    @lilloulou hmmm i see. Yes that does suck. How persistent have you been? I don't want to sound like Im not taking into consideration your concerns, but try to relax a tiny bit. You are literally days away from having your baby, so just take it easy that way you know you aren't putting your baby in any risk.

    Well just remember your the patient it's your baby you're body tell the doc what you want u cant be forced into anything unless obviously your not able to make decision.

    They can't say you might need a c section because your baby might be too big. First, they can't really tell how big the baby is for sure, & second your body is designed to give birth to whatever size baby you have. I mean, yes, there are a few exceptions, but I don't see how they could know that based on a guess. :/ I'm only 5' 3" & my largest baby was almost 10 pounds. I'm sorry I don't mean to ramble I just think it's so wrong for a dr to say something like that.

    I think your doctor is 100% incorrect and everything @wilsomom said is true. There is no need for an induction. Don't let anyone bully you. You are your and your baby's only advocate.

    @wilsomom @captivated. @littlerednova im ok with being induced but not with the risk of having a c section my dr says that my babys size is determined by how big I am im 5'7" and ive gained almost 30 lbs with this one were with my daught I only gained 13 and I havnt always been a big girl. So I dont see why my son would be my daughter has a different dad and she is skinny and he is a big guy about 6' and weights about as mych as I do now my sons dad is maybe my height and weighs 145

    @lilloulou see that's what i mean. If you don't want to run the risk of having a c-section, then what do want her to do? Do you want her to just do the c-section and get it over with?
    Honestly, everyone runs a small risk of having a c-section. You just never know how your labor is going to go. For example, if your baby's heartbeat decreases drastically during labor, then your doctor might have to do an emergency c-section.
    I agree, don't let her bully you into having a c-section if you don't want it. This is a special moment and if your baby is big like your doctor says, you still deserve to have the birth experience you want. But keep in mind that if for whatever reason you or your baby are in danger, a c-section may be necessary.

    I can tell you right now, especially from personal experience, if you get an induction you are much more likely to get a c section! Do not get induced! its extremely hard on your body and even harder on your baby! Pitocin contractions are much much stronger than normal contractions which is why baby goes into distress so easily causing a c section. If you're not going into Labor naturally, it's your body saying it isn't ready.

    Of all my deliveries, the 2 that were induced were the hardest to recover from for both me & baby. If you have netflix or something like that watch The Business of Being Born, it explains everything a lot better.

    Induction increases the risk of c section by 50%. Those odds are too much for me to personally be comfortable. :(

    Thanks @everyone I was induced with my daughter they ended up stopping it cuz it made t he contractions to strong and close. Together I ended up contracting on my own 3 hours later, right now can anyone tell me how bad it is to be sick and in labor im coughing so hard its hurting my belly I thought if going to the hospital but am afraid of them just telling me there is nothing they can do I go in to the drs tomorrow and get checked again to see if by chance baby is ready also has any one drank the raspberry leaf tea to help with contractions?
