help!

edited May 2013 in Second Trimester
I'm 14 weeks few days n still sick :( they put me on zofran at 8 weeks but that just allows me to hold food down not actually make me feel better. With my daughter I stopped feeling bad at exactly 12 weeks. Any suggestions I go to my next apt in 2 weeks but this is horrible

  • Zofran didn't work for me I would call your doctor to see about a different anti nausea medication. Having small bland snacks like cheese and crackers in between meals helped me. Good luck hun :-)
  • Zofran only took the edge off for me too, I still felt like crap. Hopefully it goes away soon though, my morning sickness stopped around 16 wks.
  • Try gingerale, that helped me.
  • I was throwing up until 19 weeks and nauseous until 20.
The only thing that helped me was chewing on dehydrated ginger

I hope y feel better soon
  • Sea bands, lots of protein & rest. It's horrible, I know! I'm 16 weeks & I still get it in the evenings, thank goodness not all day long anymore. It will get better soon hopefully, just try & hang in there.
  • Iv done ginger ale and that worked but the fizz bothers me now. I try and eat small meals through the day but I still feel sick all the time. I'm just ready to have those few weeks in the second trimester where I'm not completely miserable from nausea or body pains. And having a toddler I only get rest when she is napping or asleep for the night. I kinda feel bad for hubby bc as soon as she is asleep for the night I'm in bed and most nights asleep by the time he comes to bed but at least he's been understanding
  • @Wilsomom where can I get a sea band? Never heard of them
  • @puddsmommy You can get them at most pharmacies like Walmart. They're for motion sickness, but it helps take the edge off sometimes.
  • Anything with lemon did it for me (:
