whats with all the nightmares during pregnancy?

Just wondering why I keep having so many nightmares lately? They're not even about my baby or being pregnant. In fact I have good dreams about my unborn when I do dream about that. But I've been having scary horrifying nightmares alot it makes me not want to sleep and I can't let them go when I wake up. Anyone else have these problems?

    Yes I just started getting them and hate it. Apparently its common in pregnancy I wonder why. I had them with my first also, very strange vivid horrid nightmares :( so your not alone.

    I had them with my first not really this time I try watch something light and somewhat funny before bed.

    I had them after watching scary movies only when pregnant I avoid watching tthem lol

    I think I read somewhere that you have more rem sleep while pregnant & that's when you dream. Plus idk about you, but I always remember dreams more if I wake up during them & while pregnant I wake up a lot at night! Lol

    I had a very disturbing dream where the authorities took my son and gave me a little girl instead. I was so upset because I knew this little girl wasn't my kid and I kept asking for my son back and they kept telling me no this is your daughter. It was crazy. Pregnancy dreams are really freaky.

    when I was prego, boy mine were scary I didn't want to sleep also I always dreamed of evil bad demons trying to take my baby would cry n my dreams and wake up crying I hated it so bad

    I haven't had any scary ones yet (knock on wood) I do not do nightmares, but I'm only 10 weeks, I'm sure they're coming 8-X
    Last night (sorry I have to tell someone!) I dreamt I got back together with my ex I haven't seen for over 6 years! He was ok with Madison and me being pregnant. It was so vivid, I don't ever even want to run into him so it caught me off guard

    I had all kinds of weird dreams while pregnant, but the nightmares i had were horrible. I hated them.

    I sleep to hard to know what I dream. There was a horror movie about mirrors that creeped me out and I dreamt about taunting the demon in the mirror. Of course that is the dream I remember.
