1cm dilated and 50% effaced

Im 35w 4d and yesterday my dr checked me. She said im getting ready for labor, im wondering if this means any day now or in a few weeks? She said if I went into labor they wouodt stop it. Also she said the head is at -2 station. What's that mean? I've been feeling alot of pressure down there for about 2.5 weeks now. Its worst in the mornings getting out of bed. Should I be thinking ill go in any day?

    I was induced so I don't know too much, but I thought they stopped any labor before 38 weeks? That baby needs to cooks little longer

    Ya she's right I knew someone who thought that cause she was at 3 so she thought any day. But was only day early so she went all the way until the end. But u never know everyone is different.

    Ok thanks everyone :) I never went into labor or dilated at all with my first so this is all new at this point. I didn't even make it this far along with adrien he was already born by now.

    @HomeBirthAdvocate if -2 is still high, what is the number that the head is when it is low enough for birth?

    Also, I was wondering about something else my dr said. She said that since my son was born early, my body is naturally getting ready for labor and birth early because that's what it knows is normal, Even though with my first I wasn't dilated at all or effaced when he was born by c section at 34w 5d. Have u ever heard of that before?

    You could go in to labor or not my cousin was 1 cm for two weeks at 33 weeks but had her baby at 35 weeks. My friend was at 4 cm for 4 weeks and went 2 days past her due date

    I was a 1cm and 70% effaced for fourish weeks. I had my lo at 39.5 weeks.
