2 and a half cm dialated 80% effaced! Update!

So this is my 2nd baby im 40 weeks today and a week ago I was 1 and half cm and my cervix was "hard and long" and this week my midwife said it was " short sretchy and very soft" so now I'm 2 and a half cm and 80% effaced... which is great news for me but really I could be walking around like that forever ...but I'm still curious how many of u were at this point and when did u go into labor ??

    Every pregnancy is so different it's really hard to tell. Hopefully you'll go real soon though! I think being 80% effaced is a real good sign.

    Clean your house like a maniac like I did the day before I went into labor. I mean literally like a maniac, I was on the floor scrubbing baseboards, cleaning walls, going up and down stairs all day to do laundry, squatting to pick up garbage...I really think that's what did it for me.

    Im on it girl, contractions kept me up all night so I got up and started getting stuff done but its working I lost my plug again! Lol

    I was 2cm lialatad and 60% effacedwhen my labor kicked in and I was 38w5dayz when my labor kicked in and I had my son at 39weeks exact

    Is the plug you're losing bloody at all? If so that's a great sign!

    on Tuesday morning I went 2 labor and delivery because I thought my water broke I was only 2 centimeters 70 percent dilated and effaced the same night I went back for contractions and still was a 2 that was around midnight I walked in the hospital and at 630 in the morning I had my sonand I had my bloody show that same day in the hospital

    Yea I've been having prodromal (sp?) Labor since 1am with contractions 4 mins apart lasting about a minute and a half long and gradually painful ..all freakin day!! This is extremely frustrating ... I just wish my water would break so I'd be absolutely positive this was it!

    I usually have prodomal labor too for a week to two weeks. It sucks for sure, but at least it's making some progress which helps your true labor be shorter.

    Thanks for the encouragement ladies , 18 hours straight of contractions at 4 mins apart and now they just started spacing out... If they just felt like braxton hicks I could ignore them but some of then were whoppers! I just hope it means a shorter labor in the next few days . Really trying to avoid induction but my midwife wouldn't sweep my membranes because I'm gbs pos this pregnancy... ahhhhhh annoyed

    I was 2cm and 80% at my 36 week appt with mu first. That appt was on Monday afternoon. My water broke Tuesday morning around 3 am. My lo was born that afternoon. I was 36 weeks 3 days.

    I was 5cm dilated when I went to my 37w apt...5 days later my water broke.

    @ExcitedForOctober Nope no baby yet :( but my contractions tonight are feeling more "productive"they are like contractions coupled with bad period cramps if that makes sense? I have a midwife appt tomorrow, hopefully she'll sweep me!!!

    I bet by the time you really go into labor it will go so fast like mine. I was having off and on contractions and period like cramps for a few days and I was 7cm two hours into labor. Hopefully today is your day! I was also GBS pos and my doctor sweeped me so hopefully yours will.

    Well I went in and I'm almost 3cm and still about 80% effaced ..so my midwife swept me ...I'm praying this works and baby comes right along with some fireworks!! Send me good labor juju ladies!!
