Im getting inducted at 37 weeks. Anyone else had this happen, or am i the only one?

edited March 2011 in Pregnant
So Thursday march 11, I went in to get bp checked at the Ob on base and it was still high. So I was told since on that day since I was only 34 weeks and 4 days that I have to start going twice a week for stress tests and on march 27/28 I will be inducted at 37 weeks and that they will let me try to do natural unless if my bp shoots way up or if Dakotas heart rate drops then ill have to have a c section. And that they won't take her early unless I start loosing a lot of protein then they will have to take her early. This is my first baby and now kinda nervous I know 37 weeks is considered full term but ny whole pregnancy has been nice and easy until I turned 33 weeks pregnant..

  • 37 weeks isn't bad at all. Babies have a great outcome that far along. I usually have my children around 38 weeks. I have never had any of them on or past my due date. And they are all happy healthy children with lots of energy and no health problems. Your baby will do great. Good luck.
  • Thank you. I'm more nervous about my bp and her heartrate and them having to take her earlier then 37
  • i was inducted at 35 weeks they gave me 2 shots of sterords in my butt and i had my twins the next day they did great had to stay in the hospital for about 30 days but came home perfect
  • Yeah I'm prepared for the hospital stay just in case, but I mean she is so active I have no doubt she will be fine I guess the whole inducted thing is nerve racking. But my Dang bp needs to stay down its up everyday
  • Your baby will be mature enough to live outside the womb with 37 weeks you will be full term than. Being induced is only bad if the baby doesn't want the way you or the doctor wants. You will be fine and so will your daughter. Good luck.
