...as for strollers and car seats... I was told not to get anything even flo because it sucks...my boyfriend doesn't want anything from walmart...I really like baby trends strollers and the car seat bases seem durable...any suggestions?
We bought a Eddie Bauer travel system and since the baby isn't here we walked around the block with it and it seems really durable and smooth. We'll see when. She gets here.
I definitely am thinking cheap this go around! I'm going to be looking out for garage sales! I also like WWW.diapers.com. no matter what brand there are always good reviews on products your looking for. I've found it very helpful.
My boyfriend is one of the walmart haters...lol I have no idea why but he hates walmart....I love walmart haha I am seriously there 5 out of the 7 days of the week...I've seeen some good graco stuff and I agree with @navywife if something was unsafe then there is no way they would have it out on the market...and yeah a lot of the stuff that they have at babies r us they sell at walmart for a lot cheaper...but have you seen the baby trend car seat bases?? They look like they can be dropped from a 20 story building and still be in great shape lol idk maybe its just me I am on the weird side a friend of ours strongly suggested against even flo car seats
Chicc is the best in my opinion! This is my 3rd and I will be buying another infant seat by chicco. Last kid will be 5 soon so hers is a little too old....but will def use as a back up.
I am doing all of my baby registery tomorrow...but I want to buy the car seat and stroller myself because I want to make sure that I am comfortable with them...because if I'm not completely hooked on them I'm gonna be a paranoid wreck about what my baby is traveling in
Target is walmart plus $4 lol sorry I just think that's funny it makes me giggle every time my friends say it I live in a small town so the town next to us has walmart and target and they're not too big....I think we have to go up to the city to see what a nice walmart and target store have
Ya, chicco and graco are nice! U can also search craigslist as long as u search safely and never go alone and meet in public. U can get almost brand new fancy baby items for a whole lot cheaper!
Lol.true.Does ur bf like target? I im preg wit# 5 we couldn't live without either and Bjs. The only brand I've nvr liked is cosco brand there always seems to be so many recalls on there stuff.
Totally just convinced my bf to give me $400 for a stroller and car seat tomorrow...I'm gonna be like a kid in a candy store...I can't wait but he won't let me buy anything other than the stroller and carseat until after the baby shower I just want to buy it all right now. :O
@jmask, why don't you just put the carseat on your registry? He's right though. Wait until after the shower. But read that book I recommended. Its going to be a huge help. My infant seat is baby tend, jogging stroller I'd jeep liberty, umbrella stroller is cosco I believe, and the convertable carseat is graco. All good brands and had good ratings in that book.
Lol well I was looking on line and all the chicco strollers and carseats are 299 so with tax and what not....its my first so I'm probably going over board but idc....we work hard for our money so I just figure that all of our hard work needs to go for something that we're head over heels about...and we plan on having another in a year so we will definently make it all worth every penny

Just because it's expensive doesn't mean it's the best. Just remember that maclaren had a huge recall on their strollers because they were cutting off finger tips. And that stroller is usually $500 I believe.
@mommytoaprince I want to buy the car seat and stroller because I want to make sure that I am getting what I want...I guess you have to know a littlre about me to understand my motive...lol I really honestly don't want a baby shower at all...I want to work my butt off and buy everything by myself...I feel greedy recieving anything from anybody and I just want to look at everything we have and be like yeah we worked for that...that's why we are buying the stroller because I am not putting a 300 dollar stroller on my baby registery...its going to be hard enough for me tomorrow putting like pac n plays and big stuff on the baby registery lol I probably sound like a big tard
