keep working?

edited March 2011 in Parenting
I'm a first time mommy. I run a small daycare in my home for soldiers.(5:30am-5:30pm). Right now I have two full time toddlers. One which has been on vaca.. I will be getting 2 more first of april.

I have a few questions..
#1 how the heck do I potty train??? I've had cecil since sep. And he was doing good at first. But now not. Should I just let him run around in underwear? He never tells me when he has to go or if he did.

#2 think I will be ok to hire someone to help? Or should I go on leave? I've watched 2 toddlers and 2 infants before.. but I know this will be dif b.c. its my baby and I'll be more tired.

#3(not a parenting tip, sry) how much should I charge for cecils new sibling who will be born sep? Right now I charge $300 a month. Flat rate. It comes to like $1.50 an hour.. should I charge $450 for both kids? I like these people, but I don't want ripeed off. We haven't discussed it yet. The two kids I'll be getting are brothers and I told the lady $500 a month for both kids..

opinions please.

  • Wow that's realty cheap.
  • I pay my parents 600 for a 3 and 1 year old. That's What I offered them
Any other day care would run about 1000 for 2 kids. Especially not potty trained. I would take a break with potty training. See What happens when its not a big deal anymore
  • Well the daycares on base charge parents 300 a month, not sure per kid or if there is a discount. But there is always a list. I used to have it at $125 a week for infants and $115 for non potty trained toddlers, and $100 for potty trained.. but no one was contacting me. But since we are getting a big house with fanced in yard I am def uping the rate on mew parents.

I've pretended to be a parent and emailed other daycare providers. Most were $125 a week. I always see postings on cl offering $10 a day or for date nights. Idk if people use them. To me they sound needy. But idk..

I have offered to weeks free referal program and still didn't get any bites. My location sucks right now.
