I was told yesterday I have a cyst on my left ovary. They want me to come back in a month for another ultrasound to see if it's still there and if so do a MRI and have it removed! Trying not to worry! Gods in control!
Mine eventually went away after about ten weeks. Mine was pretty big too. It was 5 cm. Did they tell you anything more about it? They will keep an eye on it. If they do remove it, its a very easy surgery. When do you find out if they are going to do surgery?
I have one on my left ovary as well. O Jane another ultrasound on the 21st to check on it. My doc said mine is 3x its normal size and filled with blood, so that never sounds good, but He told me not to worry about it. That it just needs to be monitered. Hopefully it goes away on it's own but I know surgery can be an option in the beginning of the second trimester or after delivery. But my doc also said that it's really nothing to be concerned about unless it starts to twist or rupture. Both of which would cause you major pain. So unless you're in pain, please don't worry about it. I spent days stressing and stressing about it and It just is SO not worth it.
Thanks y'all! I'm going in about 3 weeks for another ultrasound to check it and I guess they will decide then. I had a miscarriage 5 months ago so I feel like o can handle anything after going thru that! She said everything with the baby looks good just need to monitor the cyst. I feel better now!
They found a cyst on my left side when I was 5 weeks and they monitored it but my Dr said the hormone produced early in pregnancy can cause them and not to stress unless I was having abnormal uncontrollable pain. Mine was gone at 12 weeks.
i had been diagnosed with a cyst on my left ovary 2 months before becoming pregnant, and when i went to mu first scan they noticed it, but it hasnt changed in size. I havent had any other appointments since..so im not sure what they will want to do about it, is it likely they may send me for extra scans to check its not getting worse..? im 13 weeks and 1 day today tho and so happy about the little one ^_^
@Carrie good to know urs disappeared on its own and didn't cause problems @emmz I would think they would do an extra ultrasound to check it. I was hospitalized for one 6years ago BC of pain And they know that so maybe that's why they r taking extra caution w me. What's ur due date? Mine is September 23!

I have a ruptured ovarian cyst and I'm 11 weeks and 2days. Its very painful when it ruptures. Almost like period cramps amplified, definately had me curled in a ball for a few hours straight. It sucks but my doc told me it can be managed with birth control, lol but that's out of the question now. I have either gotten used to the pain or it hasn't been acting up as much since. It will subside after a while..
@wessy24 Hmm..:/...they may do, but my midwife hasnt called me back since my scan on march 4th yet..so dont even know when im next seeing her so no idea what they are gonna want to do about it. And my due date is just before yours lol the 20th September ^_^
