  • I took a pain pill a few months ago for my back. It couldn't of done that much harm right? Dr. Said everything is progressing as normal.
  • My doctor proscribed me vicodin when I was pregnant with my daughter, she's three now.
  • My doctor said vicodin is a no go in pregnancy. The only prescription pain meds she prescribes is hydrocodone and tylenol 3 but can only get 10 pills at a time.
  • WasI given it by a dr for migrains
  • My doc jus prescribed me vicodin, and my friend took it..her daughter is 4 now.
  • I had a double ear infection and they gave me tylenol with codeine and said they wont give anything more then that. Thar night have just been my urgent care.
  • I know codeine and percocet are safe.
  • I was just prescribed Vicodin and took it. I'm worried but I had too... I hope everything is OK... I would hope they wouldn't give it to me if it was super dangerous. Its not like I'm abusing it.

  • I thought so....@gatorbob wasn't sure so didn't speak.
  • I would assume that a doctor wouldn't knowingly give you something that could harm the baby. But what might be safe in one doctors eyes might not be safe to another.

  • Tylenol just checked... acetaminophen
  • Well I breastfed and had a c section so was definitely on something but don't remember its been 5 years.
  • My Dr actually showed me in his medical drug book that has ratings for preg where vicodin is rated bad for pregnancy it's a c out of an a thru d rating. Which makes it dangerous. He said dr's do but he would not as he wouldn't take that risk. Tylonal was the only safe thing. I had 4 ribs out at the time- but agreed with him. Would not take that gamble. My brother has birth defects because of pain medications my mom's dr gave her as safe. Not for me.

  • Yeah the brand name on my prescription for hydrocodone is lortab. I haven't taken 1 pill yet because i haven't had a lot of pain since it was prescribed.
  • Along with dependency of the drug can cause respiratory depression that's why its rated like that I believe
  • My doc told me rating b and c have been tested on pregnant animals not humans that's why they get that rating....
  • I had a very bad earache and they told me I couldn't take anything my dr. had said tylenol but then he asked me how far along I was and I was about 8 or 9 weeks and then he said it was too early that I wasn't even 3mo so that I shudnt take any medication....ughh I was so mad I had a cold and an earache at the same time it was horrible

  • Blegh. I can't take it even when I'm not pregnant. There's heroin addicts on both sides of my family so I stay away from opiates. Stuff like vicoden and oxycontin (I was prescribed both for a bad back and later for wisdom teeth removal) make me shaky and sick when I don't have them. Scary!
