Whats the earliest you can find out the gender?

  My sister found out at 14 weeks, she went to a 3D place and they told her the gender.

  I found out at 11w but I'm high risk and had a nuchal us done which is an us machine that magnifies the baby by 25 times.

  Oh wow sorry about the high risk when is the earliest they could find out with a normal 2d scan?

  My pregnancy book says that at 12wks the scrotum or clitoris is evident so I believe 12wks and a few ladies on here said that they found out at 12wks through the nuchal. Goodn Luck I'm 11wks 4dys so I'm hoping I can find out at my dr. appt on friday. ;-)

  There is certain places like motherhood spas that do ultrasounds and ultrasound centers that say they can determine the sex at 16 weeks with 2d. But I think at those places you have to pay cause it is not through a doctor

  here is a look, you can get a guess in a regular scan early but not a definite until close to 16 weeks

  Ya most places do it at 18 to 20 weeks. Unless u get a 3d us bit some insurance doesn't cover those costs cuz its elective.

  So if its a reg. Obgyn. Is it 12 weeks or later.
  For sonogram.when the put the cold thing on your stomach..lol
