BD who drink every night

Does anyone else have a boyfriend/bd who has to drink every night and I don't just mean one beer or two? Its making me very frusterated esp since he promised me he would cut back (I don't expect him to stop at all but honor what he said).

    I totally feel u!! For the first 5 days after I told my bf I was pregnant all he did was drink. All he wanted to do was go out n party n get drunk it was extremely frustrating. All I wanted to do was stay home n relax so he left me home alone so he can go party. Then he would come home n b n asshole. I was really depressed n sad. I just talked to him n told him how I was feeling. He has really been trying to cut back but he still drinks every here n there. It just takes some time. Ur man will probably do the same just give it some time.

    Mine wud go out an get drunk an his gma had the nerves to yell at me an say r family drinks chews an smokes so get over it an it really hurt but i sat down an talked to him about it an we both agreed 1 or 2 a nite is ok but no more getting wasted unless its just a once in a blue moon nite out wit the boys an i even got him to call the quit line for his chewing it takes time but dont freak out on him just sit down wit him an explain u need him here for u an u never kno wen an emergency may come up or else give him an altematem (sp) sorry

    Thanks for your comment...I hope he does do the same as I'm 5 months pregnant now, I've been doing my best to just roll with it some nights I just want to cry. I love him dearly but refuse to raise my daughter in the same situation I was raised in.

    I'm trying to stay positive that's all I can do right now :)

    With my 1st pregnancy yes my now husban was imatture and drink like crazy and it even after he promised to cut down caused alot of stress and conflict but now with this second pregnancy I'm glad he is 190degrees diff but he still drinks on sats but I told him how I felt how that affected the fam and his heltg and he was receiving everything I had to say with open arms .... just talk to him hun try to get him to understand but don't hound him eitheir I guess they drink cuz the are scared of what's coming and maybe feel slightly trapped but that s not an excuse to not keep a promise...

    I actually have had a few talks with him and his family has also tried but so far no luck. I'm not the nagging type I know that doesn't wrk esp with him. I guess I shouldn't be surprised which maybe I'm not just makes me sad sometimes not to mention lonely. I don't doubt his love for me or our baby but would like a sober shoulder to lay on more than once in a blue moon.

    Ugh yes mine does. It's so frustrating. He smokes & drinks..EVERYDAY..but honestly I would rather him give up the smoking..it smells sooo bad & he's tried to give it up..but no luck here either. & I'm getting tired of it. I'm 14w5d right now.so hopefully he can give it up before the baby comes. Good luck girl ;)

    my bf drinks every day doesnt get wasted but drinks everyday that doesnt bother me it bothers me that he still goes out to the clubs and I am just left home alone (he is 33 and I am 24)
