I'm only 8 weeks and my neurologist said if I do get pregnant, scheduling a c-section may be best. Due to stress on my body. Can anyone lend a helping hand and ease some stress?
I have epilepsy...since I was preggo with my first...(16 years old) I've never heard that and I'm now preggo with number three...only had one seizure during the first pregnancy...that's how they started....you should be fine....mine are grand mal also
What type of seizures do you have? I have absence or petit mal and I had a vaginal birth with my first, it was never a concern. But my seizures are under control with the help of meds. The only concern my neurologist had was watching my med levels due to the increase hormones and the risk they could have on the baby. Everything turned out fine though. Now pregnant with my second and they're checking everything the same.
Thank you all sooooo much!!! I'll have to talk to my doctors again. I mean I would love to go the norm that's important. More research and totally calling my doc in the morning. I'm on meds and they checked levels but no word yet.
It depends on how your pregnancy goes, they'll probably just monitor you very closely. If you don't have any probs you should be fine. Since you don't have them frequently, I wouldn't be too worried abt it, just depends on how your body handles the pregnancy. I had seizures with my twins & that's why I had to have an emergency csec, but I have no history of seizures other than that. So they are monitoring me closely.
Are the babes affected by them in anyway thus far? I may switch doctors but I need more info from them. But its comforting to hear this from you all. It changes a lot and may give me a normal Halloween baby lol.
My boys are almost 10 now, & they are perfectly fine. They were a few weeks early, but other than that, perfectly healthy kids. No worries hun! You'll be fine & the baby too!
No problem at all! Glad I could help! & just so you know, I'm almost half way through this pregnancy, & I'm not having any problems, other than morning sickness, doctors are shocked, & I am all to happy! >:D<
me too... im sick non stop.... for my second and now this one... and still good.... What strange... i had the easiest no sickness pregnancy with my first and thats when i started getting seizures.... but nothing else after the first one (during PG that is)
Yeah allday sickness sucks and naps at work are a no go LOL. I just am tired and I'm trying not to rely on tylenol pm. Which I did for a while cause with seizures I need sleep.
