Just looking for some tips on how to gain weight healthily. I'm 15+ weeks and my ob and nutritionist are stressing that I need to start gaining weight and have no clue how I'm supposed to do that. I eat good and I'm active.any advice???
Cheese! Yogurt, Milk products in general If you can handle milk, do Instant breakfast in the am or as desert.. It has good vitamins and good calories. Good fats, Good calories and rice:)
I would also like to gain weight.. I know its Cming. But all I seem to do is lose weight. Not that you can tell my belly sure is sticking out there Just makes no sense
Oh and french frys lol, great way to get the salty craving out of the way, they are not 100 percent healthy but hey they are tasty and bake the belly grow lol! Give in to your cravings
What about white rice or brown or wheat pasta ..saute some vegetables and have it w/ the rice or pasta..or burrito w/grilled vegs and black beans....some of those should help you gain weight w/the carbs in it
@jazzi89 Ensure works great in-between meals. I used to be anorexic and to gain weight healthily they had me drink an ensure or 1/2 of one in-between meals (depending on how quickly or how slowly you need to gain weight). They dont make you gain weight as fast as youd expect and they have a bunch of flavors and have a ton of good for you vitamins and minerals that will benefit both you and the baby! Hope that helps!
@jazzi89 you can find Ensure drinks in the nutritional drink section of pretty much any grocery store or drug store. Most targets and walmarts have them too. They usually come in packs of 6. They are a little expensive so if you like them, buy them in bulk if you can at walmart or target!
@jazzi89 depending on how much weight you need to gain you might be able to split it up so you only need to take a few sips inbetween meals to total 3/4 to 1 Ensure per day. That's an extra 200-350 calories a day which causes healthy and gradual weight gain.. hope that helps!

@ jazzi89 there recipes online ...your rinse the rice till the waters clear and cook it normally after its cooked let it cool and in a wok or large frying pan you have a little bit of olive oil and saute the garlic and add soysauce then the rice and chopped up scallions..but yea online there's amount of what u need for everything.
Thank you! I'm not sure how much weight they want me to gain but at every dr visit they ask me if I'm eating because they dont like my weight progress. I lost ten pounds before I found out I was pregnant and haven't gained an ounce yet
@ jazzi89 w/lost 10 lb also bit when i was 5 months and so on the weight came on...i wasnt healthy i ate junk and fast food but was active .. this one im doing it healthy

So grean and can be added to many things! Cant explain the taste but i love it alot! Some describe it as buttey, but it doesnt taste like butter... get one that is slightly squishy, not too had, cut it open and try it then add a ligt salt then try it. It tastes great in almost anything cold. Doesnt cook well, so it is great raw! The oils and fats in it are SOOOO good for you. Its actualy recomended eats for pregos and children!
Avacado is like a miracle food...look it up...its Delicious...thats one of my favorite foods...u could eat it with anything...chicken, meat, rice, salad, tacos...google avacado recipes...
