  • Robe, 2 to3 maternity underwear, socks, slippers, bra, toothbrush and paste, deoderant, make-up for pics, hair products, towels if you don't want to use the hospital's, your Weds if you have any, kotex if you don't want to use the monster size ones from the hospital, shampoo and conditioner, soap, and 2 weather appropriate outfits for the baby. If I I think of anything else ill add it. I have had csec both times.
  • Yes take comfy clothes and granny panties!!! Hair products and baby clothes phone chargers bring along a word search.or magazine. Also a chang3 of clothes for your hubbub or support person!! Deodorant tooth brush and paste !!
  • Robe- check
Maternity undies & bras moms gt em 4 me- chck
    Soxx?? Wat kind??
    Slippers -check

& omg soooo many stuff lol...
I packed bby stuff &,he took up the whole diaper bag :) ...
    Wat abt diapers fir him??
  • O yea leave anything valuable home. You never know who your roomy may be. Like extra jewelry, wallet. You support person could bring money if needed for the phone or the tv. Also my feet swelled after I have birth so bring comfy shoes to go home with.
  • Awww im tired of swollen feet...nooooo more lol I hope :)
  • bbring a couple but they are usually generous at the hospital with diapers and formula. regular socks they may have some there also. it could be cold in the room and you may be the unlucky one that is not near the controls. really try to hat a room by ur self. that's the best.
  • Don't forget a pacifier if you plan to use one, my hospital told me they we $18 a piece if we got one from them. If you wear contacts be sure to have your glasses with.
  • Snacks for you and hubby. They might not feed him and after labor you might be hungry, vending machine food can be expensive and hospital food isn't that great. Plus the cafe might be closed.

A notebook to write down things they tell you that you will wonder about when you get home, and the names of the person who told you. Seems silly now but is really helpful after the first few sleepless nights.

A list of people to call, unless you are just going to call your entire contact list. :)

A reviving blanket, hospital might not let you take the ones they use home, two if you have pets you want to introduce baby to.

Nursing bra/s if you are breast feeding. Depending on how much you engorge you might just want to go without the bra, up to you.

A blanket or pillow if you don't sleep well without your own.
  • Nope no paci for my bby :)!!! & nope no contacts either...that's way im wondering @grnfish73 how does one get a room for herself...i know im not guna wana share :)
  • Wait you hospital charges for binkies? Everytime they brought my babies they always had one in there with them.
  • @conreeaght wat type of snacks r the best for me tho?
  • I hve binkies for him.
  • Here we have to pay $200 for a suite. but I was lucky that I never had to share a room when I have birth. I would call the hospital and ask. did you do a walk thru the hospital? They usually give you a run down of all that. the birthing room the operating room then the room u stay in.
  • AAsk your doc about food. I had a csec. so I could only have liquids in the beginning.
  • Im doin that on tues..my nxt doc. App since my doc is on the same st. as my hospital :)
  • Oooo ok. Ya cuz im shurr it has to be lite snacks maybe?
  • Lol. You are getting me sooo excited! I'm only 19 wks.
  • I brought along Graham crackers and rice cakes for me.
  • I didn't see a camera or chapstick listed yet. I always take homemade cookies, cause with my last 2 my water broke while making them. Great snack for partner, nurses love you, and they make a great treat for you after you have the baby. Clothes for you to go home in, stay with maternity you'll still be swollen. Your birthing plan if you wrote one. Make sure the person taking you home brings carseat, they won't let you leave without one. Oh and I also took luigis ice, it was great break from ice chips! Hope that helps, if I think of anything else I will add it! Funny I'm 31 weeks and haven't packed my bag yet, but can help others!
  • @Grnfish73 can.u imagine how I feel :) this is my first lil bundle of joy :) &,due date is around tge corner :) jst hope everything comes out fine :)
  • @Ammasmama thank u soooo much but I cnt bake cookies or mke pop corn idk y 4 sme reason rite now that im prego tgey wont cook :) lol ...kunda funni..i kno I jst started packin...cuz evry1 is lke ur 37 wks &,havent packed yet...im lke im NEW AT THIS IDK LOL :)
  • *they*
    *kinda* lol
  • @Mommy_2_B even though you dont believe in paci... buy one and bring it with you incase you child has issues and either has to be incubated or under billi lights... otherwise the hospital will choose to use theirs and might charge you. Dont worry about packing diapers, they supply them, just pack one or two for the way home. Pack undies that you can throw away or they make you wear the mesh uncomfy ones. Buy some witch hazle pads , helps with the lady parts and swelling. Juice boxes for after birthing. 2 pair of sox you dont care if ruined..( my water broke all over mine lol) A hand held game to keep you company. Phone chargers, What soap and lotion you want for your lil one (the hospital stuff made my kid break out) What ever stuffy you want them attached to. your breast pump just incase. Boob ointment. Remember you sweat like a hog durring delivery so dont use your own pillow unless you can wash it after lol. Somthing to hold your hair back, something to entertain daddy. Gold fishies.Bottle of water. If you are ecpecting a preemy, a preemy onsie for them to wear in the nursery. Thats all i can think of beyond what was already stated lol.
  • @mommy_2_B I don't have that excuse so when I show up at the hospital with noth'n in hand it's all on me! Lol
  • Hahahaha. @mamasmama wen r u goin to start packing?
  • might wanna grab a paci just incase- i swore no paci for my son but he came out literally latching to the Drs finger and had an insane sucking instinct-- the paci was a lifesaver. on diapers dont take any! and ask for more before you leave lol the nurses are usually great about stocking u up and its not stealing, insurance or you will pay eventually but u might want to bring wipes because theyll use guaze and water. def a recieving blanket because they wont let u take theirs. i know it seems obvious but when your rushing you forget so have all your important documents together, insurance info- license, ss card all that.
the hospital has socks with grips i always liked those since the floor is slick, and snacks or drinks are always good most maternity wards have a hospitality room with a fridge and microwave.
  • @mommy2_B ummm..... I thought about it today! I don't know, I still need to empty to bassinet, find the 0-3 months clothes, try and get a small dresser for baby, and buy a coming home outfit....wow I have soo much to do!
  • Man...at the hospital I delivered my daughter at and I'm delivering this baby at...they give free binkies...they have a room full of food for you and your visitors...and you never have to share a room with anyone...
  • U ladeys getting me excited and imonly 5weeks 6days
  • Ahhhh I knt wait...i know I'm definitely over packing on some stuff but come on you can't blame me...this is my first bundle of joy so I'm super exited...&& thanks ladies..got if NO DIAPERS LOL..
& maybe a paci..& how mch clothes for him tho?
