edited March 2011 in Pregnant
Okay so i havent lived with my parents since high school and they live in a different state now they want me to move in with them so i can finish college but i dont want it to be a burden on them for having to watch my baby seeing how i would be gone most of the day for college an work. Im the one having a baby not them i like depending on myself an they have already done so much for me so yall think i should just give it up an move back home?

  • I understand there is nothing like having ur own. But what do yu think is best for yu??
  • @AMiyahsMommy honestly i dont wanna move up there because i know its going to be boring an im going to go insane being away from everyone but i also know it would be the best thing to do right now.
  • i moved back in with mine- and i hadnt lived there since i was 17 i always loved being independant but i can honestly say it was a GREAT decision. there is nothing better than being able to work/go to college and not having to worry if your child is being treated right, and not being overlooked by a busy daycare and who can you trust more than the grandparents. my son has an amazing bond with his grandparents now that i wouldnt trade for anything and i think hes smarter and im a better mom for being able to share in their wisdom- theyve been there done that and know how to take things in stride. going to school with a child is sooo hard, ive been doing it two years and when study time comes they seem to need your attention more than ever but having grandma to entertain them really helps. if yall get along ok, and your serious about getting thru school and moving towards a good life for you and you baby i say go for it the added support will only get you there faster.
  • @carolyntx you really make me wanna move home lol i know it would probably be the best decision for me an my baby i just dont want to seem like a lazy parent for having them watch my baby but atleast i know im trying to better our life by finishing college while there watching my baby, right?
  • I agree...yu just said it will be the best thing right now. Soo think abt ur baby for right now. Then yu will be able to move back into ur own when u r able too
  • There is nothing lazy about going to school and raising a child! You'll still have your hands full I promise LOL I just can't emphasize how good it is to be able to do what u need to do and know your child is in good hands! Especially those newborn months!
  • @graciensmommy thank you yes i wont have to worry about a daycare with some stranger watching my baby i just dont want to intrude on my parents too much.
  • If they're offering then I'm sure they've thought it out, plus they'll love having their grandbaby! Only problem which u might have is the one I'm currently having which is they don't want me to leave with their grandson lol
