am i wierd for watching birth videos

ok so i am only 5 wks pregnant and i am very interested in the process of child birth of course and i have watched a few child birth videos and they have completely freaked me out i knew the basic thought of what happens but i had to stop watching the videos because it was just freaking me out anyone else have any similar experiences??

    I had to stop watching them,they started to scare me. Lol Granted,these videos were very raw and showed a little too much for my taste.

    I watch a baby story on tlc but I'm good on the full on videos but I have been through this already

    every time i get pregnant i am addicted a baby story. and i can't stand watching it when im not pregnant. its weird lol

    I have been watching mostly water births and home births because I want to go into birth with a clam mind like those women have... I like knowing that it can be a very clam event

    Its the best to become educated on the birthing experience, what types of births do you primarily watch? I think you should def watch a broad range of births, from hombirths to emergency c sections, and educate yourself, esp. about things during labor and delivery that scare you. Knowledge will be the best tool to dispell any worries and fears you may have about the process. It has been my strength :)

    I don't think so. Since i've become pregnant with my first child I'm addicted to them but they freak my hubby out lol

    I did the same thing when i found out i was pregnant lol i had to stop cuz the only thing going threat my head was ahhhhh my poor vagina lmao

    in the uk we have a programme on television every monday night called 'one born every minute' and it is a documentary on 40 cameras in a maternity ward in a hospital. It actually shows women giving birth naturally with the baby coming out, c-sections, water births and all kinds of emergencies. its amazing but sometimes it can be a bit offputting, i think it's so emotional sometimes though i'm always crying happy tears hah!

    well so far i have watched the water births and looking specifically to see the difference between epidural and just pain medication and natural births i like the concept of a water birth but i want there to be doctors there i dont think i am to confident in a home birth
