How for sure can doctors be at a 15/16 week appointment telling gender?!

I go to the DR thursday and will be 15 weeks an 4 days,Im praying she will be able to tell me what my little squirt is.,...How often can they tell you that they're very positive of what you're having? I dont want to get told its one and it be the other when I go on my 20 week...I need a baby girl!! :-)

    I've heard even at 20 weeks they can be wrong. My sil was a girl, then a boy. Lol. She came out a girl. :) But best would be the later ultrasound. I'm also not sure if the 3d ultrasound would be more precise. Maybe look into that. :) Hope you get your girl!!!

    I had a gender scan at 15wks. It was very clear it is a BOY, but the tech did say boys are easier to tell sooner than girls, so that's why. Perhaps you'll get lucky& be able to find out :)

    I had an ultrasound at 15 weeks and my baby boy showed us clearly what he was! Lol

    i've heard that sometimes they can possibly tell at 12 week scan? is that true?

    Idk. W/ my 1st @ 19 wks, they couldn't tell. The day I went into labor @ 41 wks, they told me it was a girl. She said she could see the labia for sure...6 hrs. Later a boy came out.

    #2 couldn't tell. #3 said a boy @ 20wks, and a 3d u/s confirmed a boy. Hoping that #4 is a girl!

    Depending on position of baby and that, they normally say how sure they are but they never like to say 100% regardless since if it does turn out to be one instead of the other, you'd be upset! Lol. I had at scan at 20 weeks but she wouldn't open her legs, was lucky to have another scan at 36 weeks, was clearly a girl but I'm still scared she'll come out a boy! Guess I'll find out in 9 days. Haha, I hope they are able to tell and baby's all healthy :-)

    It depends on the skill of the sonographer, the quality of the equipment and position of the baby (make sure you have a really full bladder, you can always empty a bit to help your baby move). I was told (accurately) @ 12 weeks that I was carrying a girl. But, I was given a disclaimer to not go painting the nursury yet!

    Really at 15 weeks? I see my doc Wednesday and I'm 15 weeks today. We want to wait to find out the sex but I don't think I can.

    the scans are so clear now days its a real god chance.. it really depends on the tech doing it... and the babys corroperation good luck.... if its a boy its pretty obvious... floating testicals... lol.. ive had two boys

    Yes that's what worries me..I'm going to just tell her that if she doesn't see something hanging but cant see girl parts clear then to just not even say what She thinks...I don't wanna get my hopes up!

    me too girl.. i want my girl too.. i have two boys and soon alot of testostrone.. running around... they gang up on me so i need a girl on my team lol...

    Well I need my little side kick cause im going to be in this alone...i really want my little girl but a little boy will b just as good..I hear little boys r really protective over their moms so either one will be great. ..long as he or she is healthy

    I was told at 13 weeks a lot of the time babies look like boys cause tailbone still extends down and looks like a penis.but I have an ultrasound tomorrow at 530 and I'm only 15w so ill let u know if they were able to twll with me. Except mines 3d so it may change things.

    Well I'm anxious to see! I think if the baby I'd positioned right that she should b able to see..maybe...:-)

    Ive had one done with my 1st pregnancy n it said girl i was 14 wks ..my 2nd pregnancy as well as this one both was at 16 wks n so far this ones still a boy
