has anyone had their baby before 37 weeks?

I am hoping I wont deliver preterm but just encase I worry about it. How did it go for the moms that have delivered that early? I had a few contractions today but they went away. I'm 34 weeks coming Wednesday and have a Dr appt.

    I was 35 wks with my first son and everything was fine :-) he didn't even have problems breathing on his own. He didnt have rooting reflex and had to learn to eat on his own but that wasnt a major thing. Try not to worry and good luck! :-)

    You'll be ok belly buddy :-). If you do deliver early your baby will be fine you're almost there 6 weeks & 1 day left to go

    I had my 3rd almost 4wks early, she was a homebirth, she weighed 5lbs 15oz, had nothing wrong with her. My 4th was an emergency c-section at 35wks, she was in NICU for 3wks to gain weight, but nothing was wrong with her either, just small, weighed 4lbs 1oz at birth. After 35-36wks baby is fulle developed, just gains weight last month-month & a half.

    My husband was born at 24weeks and he is awesome, never sick, and super smart....that was 28 yrs ago...so medicine has greatly improved since then! You will be fine especially since you are just 6 weeks away! Congrats!

    My first born was 6 weeks early, weighed 4 lb 12 oz. Was suppose to be in nicu for 2 mths but only stayed for 2weeks. No breathing complications, she just need to gain weight. My water had broken when i sat down. The craziest moment. You'll be okay

    Well I plan on keeping her in there till she is big enough but my instinct keeps saying around 36 weeks. I have a feeling she is close to six lbs already. I'm all baby and her body parts stick out. My first I was this size when I delivered at 39 weeks.

    I have a feeling mine will be here soon too. Im 32 wks and due may 18. I've already been to l&d twice for contractions. She's been head down since 5 months. Im guessing she'll be here in 5 wks or so. My mom thinks sooner. My coworkers don't think i'll make to the 18th either so we shall see

    I was supposed to be due April 4 but I was dilated 4 cm and just had my boy at 37 weeks 1 day on 3-15-11:-) he was healthy and beautiful thank God

    My niece delivered her little girl at 24 weeks that was in november and the baby is fine was still at the hospital until yesterday that the baby was sent home, god is awsome

    oh and she was only 10oz, and meseasured 11 inches

    My daughter was born six weeks early, I started leaking amniotic fluid, went to the er and they admitted me, two days later I delivered her and she was 5 pounds. She stayed in the nicu for 12 days due to jaundice and not being able to eat and breathe at the same time. She is now 4 and you could never tell she was early. They had a program at the hospital that allowed me to stay there the whole time so I didn't go home with out her!!

    My son was born right at 9 weeks early. He is now 7 years old and perfectly fine. Medicine and technology are amazing!

    I was born 3 months early at home...my mom told me I had to stay in hospital for couple months to gain weight but otherwise I am perfectly a healthy women :) now with greater technology I kno ull b fine :)

    He was in nicu for 6 weeks so he could gain weight, learn to eat, and get a stable heartrate.
