Has anyone ever gotten an expediated passport?

Has anyone gotten a passport in a week? And where? I looked online but I don't know if those sites are safe. they say you can get one in as little as 24 hours. Help please, thank you.

    It is cheaper and safer if you wait until within 12 days of your trip. You just need to bring a copy of your itinerary/flight plans to the passport agency nearest you and you can get it that day for much less. Plus, the expedited agencies via the web or post office can not guarantee that you will get it in time or that it wont get lost. Good luck!

    Check your local post office, they ALWAYS have passport information.

    @caroline8_p the local post office says I can get expediated service but it would take 2 weeks to get it.

    @potterymama I think what your talking about is like the official passport agency in each state where you can get it right away... Thing is, its over an hour away from where I live...

    I did it it was horrible!!I waited in philly for 10 hours with my husband and three year old son in 90° weather but it was my fault for waiting so long lol... you have to find a government building that does them call and make an apt... usually has to be done 12 days before your trip.. you can look up locations on the government passport website

    @mostephanite I live in P.A. Too, so I would have to go to Philly... But I think I'm just going to just go to the post office and do it there even though it will take at least 2 weeks.

    @hoping4firstbebe its not a 100% guaranteed that you will get it in the 2 week time frame... if u go to philly they hand it to you there. They lost my sisters birth certificate when she sent it in the mail so make sure u use a tracking number just in case... if u go to philly its an all day thing and it cost me and my husband $400+ to get ours :( good luck!

    @mostephanite just wanted to share my exciting news, I got my passport in a week!! I went to the post office on a Friday and got my passport the next Thursday. I got expedited service and overnight delivery. I'm really surprised I got it so fast!

    I would just do to the passport agency. Usually takes the whole day, but you could make it a day trip cause they trek you when to come back.you get passports in hand when you leave, fastest way possible and mail gets lost or slowed down sometimes

    Lol that sucks, they told me to come back after like 4 hours so I went to eat and go shopping
