Things have changed and I was wondering if they need id when you get put on the birth certificate? My bf lost his id and I want him on the birth certificate

  • Well he needs an id regardless ..idk about the birth certificate ..but he should go and a new one anyways
  • I have never had to have my id for the birth certificate only when i go pick it up@ the vital records department
  • Well it will be a long time till he can get one. I guess it will be fine without him on it for a bit. I never heard of them asking for id for it but like I said things have changed
  • He would still be able to get a state id if he lost his license.
  • He just moved here and doesn't have his ssc and BC. So I guess we are screwed till further notice. Oh well she will still have his name
  • Yay found out no id is needed :) I'm so relieved
  • I just had my labor and delivery tour. He doesn't need ID but since your not married he's required to sign a parental form before being added or signing on the birth certificate.
  • @ynvtish I saw about that but its not a problem. Congratulations on the new addition
  • In wisconsin if dna isn't done my bf has to sign and file a voluntary paternity acknowledge ment paper and file it for ten dollars
  • No id is needed
  • Here its free to do the paternity paper if done at the hospital
