Can smoking lower your chances of conception?

    Yes. That's what the fertillity doc told me and the wife anyway. It affects it if the male smokes too.

    Thank you....I wondered Cuzco I quit smoking last september, but my ex and I tried to conceive and it never happened while I smoked, I quit and 4 and 1/2 months later I'm pregnant by surprise (condom broke) and I lost that baby at 6 weeks and fell into depression and have been smoking again, but my bf now wants to start trying as soon as we move in together......I think ill be quitting again.......

    My wife never smoked but, I quit and we finally got pregnant like five months later. Good luck to you and your boyfriend.

    I think it does but for males I dont think so unless there count is low my hubby smoke a pack a day I got pregnant with in 4days of trying! But who know maybe he got some strong soliders lol....

    The fertility doc said if your swimmers are normal. That is like the only everday thing that could bring them down.

    I guess it could deotnd on How strong the swimmers Are too. My ex told me his weren't strong so that may be why we ne'er conceived.
