What to expect every week going to the doc??

So am 36 weeks and 1 day....due april 24.....
so staring monday april 4 ill be going to
doc every week.
what do they do in every check up?

    All the normal stuff that they do now and now they will start checking you to see if your dialating.

    They Will do the strep b test next. Just a quick swab, the next should include your birthing plan. They will check you off and on through out the next 4 weeks as they feel they need to, or if you feel like you might be progressing..

    I don't know about your doc but mine does it at every app when I go weekly. And the closer you get to dd they strip the membranes to jump start labor. Its such a wonderful thing to be pregnant and being at the end. If this is your first get use to hands in the vajayjay cause when you go in to deliver the nurses stick their hands in there to like every flippin hr and even more than that. Lol.

    now am like freaking out cuz some guy doc have big hand :-(

    Lol. :-h. Don't freak. Its just like 2 fingers and they put so much ky on that you don't notice that part. You notice the pressure of them messing with your poor cervix. Lol. But its not that bad. You will be fine. Due April 24th huh? Lol. That's my due date. Easter babies. Lol. So glad this is just about done with. Lol.

    Just going off a comment someone had earlier...get used to it! If ur planning on nursing be prepared to have a nurse just grab ur boob to put it in babies mouth! I couldn't believe it-by my second child I had ppl walking in and out wo even thinking bout making sure I was fully covered (this included our guests!) My mom had me during shift change so she had a ton of nurses in and out-told me after a kid all modesty goes out the window for the time being. Lol. Good luck

    when your around 36 weeks..they do a test..its a certain kind of bacteria that pregnet girl grow during pregncy tho vaginal..so they use this swap to do the test...

    Group B strep is a bacteria that a lot of women carry in there rectum. The problem is if it gets into the vagina it can harm the baby through delivery. If you end up having it, all they do is run an antibiotic drip in your iv every 4 hours during delivery, and test the baby afterward.

    On a side note, I'd rather have a dr with big hands than I the one I had with my first baby. He had short hands and had to push really hard to feel, leaving my butt bruised from it!
