So, I know I'm kind of venting but I need to feel better. I live with my baby daddy and his god aweful mother in a 2 bedroom house...there's no room for the baby and were looking for a different house that just he and I can move into...we live in a really really small town and I have been looking for a job. He works fulltime which helps, and there are a few towns around us that are a little bigger...I've applied @ 7 places and haven't heard a thing back from anywhere! I don't know what to do and my savings will soon run out and I have bills to pay like everyone else....noone will hire me @ 3 months prego, so who the hell will hire me at 4 or 5 or even 6??...I'm so stressed out but I feel hopeless:( any suggestions? I

  • Hey hun. Am in the exact same position! My bf works full time but im trying my hardest get a job, im now 12 and half weeks. I dont tend to tell them in interview im pregnant. But either way am getting no where :-(
  • Im in the same position, i was fired from my job couple of days ago, and cant find a job, Im going crazy, I have 3 children and one comin, if i dont find one i would loose my apt,my car, my bf is the only one bringin income but he doesnt make enough, i dont know what to do, Im 12 weeks but im showing.... i dont know who would take me
  • Exactly another good point...Are you obligated to tell them ur prego if I would happen to get an interview? Ugh what can we even do? Its bad to be stressed but I can't help it...
  • @lovfaithhap, is filing for unemployment an option for you? I know in nebraska where I'm from if your fired or laid off you can qualify...I'm not sure of your thoughts on it but I thought maybe id bring another option to light for your circumstance?!
  • I feel for u. im in the same position only my partner got laid off work. My midwife has said to be honest just get ur benefits cos noones gonna hire u when pregnant. Why does life have to be soo complicated! Money should grow on trees i say :p
  • Im in the same situation I got fired last friday & im 35+ so no one will hire me

Has anyone tried staffing agencies? Not sure how big your cities are, but I've used agencies before and they are great. You can opt for temp to direct hire. Even though you are prego, both you and the agency usually agree that your employment can end anytime. Its less pressure when deciding to quit. Most times they know how long assignments are...
  • Can you be a nanny in your area? That way you can work being pregnant and even take your child with.
  • Legally u d not have to disclose ur pregnant. If they ask u cause u are showing u can actually say that is illegal to ask a person and move on through the interview. But if u bring it up it is fair game...best policy in interviews is to keep ur personal life private until u r hired
  • @a1kyndria thanks! I had been so unsure about this before and even my mother wasn't sure, but you've cleared it up for me! @louisesfirstbaba what do you mean just get your benefits?? I was curious if I would qualify for unemployment if I don't find a job by the end of april but I have no clue where to find that information...ugh I just wish someone would hire me:s and as far as staffing agencies the closest place is 45 minutes away, so I would have to travel back and forth and with gas going up and currently no job, its kinda a lose lose situations:s
  • Im not sure how it works were ur from. But if uve worked for so long, when u have no employment they pay you like 100 a fornight (in uk anyway) then housing benefits which pays ur rent when u reach 29weeks. Its all confusing. I only found out avout it cos i seen a.financial advisor
