false negative or positve?

I took a test this am af is due on the 3rd. the test was an ept that has a horizontal lin for neg and vertical for pos. Immediately I got afaint neg then before 2 mins was up the was a pos and a neg. What on earth does that mean?

    Both lines have to show up to make a positive hun. It needs to make a plus sign. The control line will always show up which is the negative line, its the vertical line that either shows up within the time frame which means positive or the vertical line will never show which means negative. So it sounds like positive to me :) buy a digital and take it tomorrow or friday morning.

    I hope so...I trying so hard to hold off til the 3rd I doubt I will make it. It just scared that the horizontal was fast and then the vertical was like barely there but there

    Like I said it sounds like a faint positive hun. Maybe wait until Saturday or Sunday morning to take the digital, or you can just go to your doctors office and request a blood test :)

    there's never a false positive... you probably just dont have much of the hormones in your system yet. :) try to wait about 2 days and take a digital... or get the blood test! before my mc i did the same thing and i couldn't wait... the next day the tests that were negative were a bold positive. hahaha
