When u first started feeling the baby, where on ur belly did u feel it?

edited April 2011 in Second Trimester
Was it up high in ur belly or down towards ur lower abdomen? Just wondering :)

  • Bottom like below my belly button.
  • Down underneath my belly button. :) I'm 22 weeks 1 day. How far along are you?
  • Pelvic region. Just above hairline. Feels like flutters...like a quick movement thru water when u push off the side of a pool :) you feelin something???
  • lower tummy...because baby isn't big enough when you first start to feel him/her to reach up high.
  • How far along was everyone when they first felt the bambino move?
  • Its was in the lower tummy area and mine feels like um having gas
  • I guess not. Im not sure exactly how far along I am, around 16 or 17 weeks. Just sometimes I feel this kind of hard pressure on either side of my belly button. Its like one spot on my belly will get sore for a few seconds and then itll just go away. It doesnt really hurt it just feels weird..
  • I wuz xactly 16wks tha 1st time i felt my little 1 move an it wuz down n my lower abdomin rite above my pubic bone on tha left side i love tha feeln of my little 1 movin
  • @rootzmama is it sore only to touch or can u feel it without pressing? Is it related to meals? That's strange :/ but I don't think its pregnancy related
  • wait! At 16/17 weeks u don't know for sure how far u are? Have u been to a doctor yet?
  • Yea but they havent done a sonogram yet. I dont track my periods so idk when my lmp was exactly and I had sex with my bd almost everyday so idk when I conceived either...sooo Im pretty much guesstimating til my first sono sometime this month.
  • Lately i've noticed that within the past couple days when I wake up in the morning on one side of my stomach below my belly button theres like a hard lump but then i get up moving around and it goes away. I'm only 15 weeks but idk if thats the baby i'm feeling or what
  • @ashabash hmm sometimes one side of my belly sticks out more than the other but I dont feel anything. But hey if u can feel a lil lump thats probably baby. And I heard its easier to feel it when ur layin down :)
  • I feel pressure in my abdomen sometimes. It started toward the end of last week, and I think we have about the same edd, rootz. I'll be 18 weeks on Friday.

It's really strange. Almost like I'm going to cramp... but not painful. Just pressure. It's always localized. Left, right, or center, never all over. Always near the pubic line. Sometimes it's just a feeling similar to a gas bubble moving. But again, localized to the abdomen and it's def not a gas bubble. Much more subtle.

Once you recognize it, you realize you can feel it fairly frequently. And that it's really hard to explain!
  • I felt my first flutters last week at 17 weeks..I was so happy!! I felt it very low on my tummy & slightly to the right.
  • @jwigs im pretty sure I feel the same thing. And it doesnt hurt but its weird the pressure feels sore. And also, last few days, I wont be payin attention and then theres like a little pop in one lil spot and im like was that baby or gas hmm...lol im hopin its baby cuz im pretty sure id KNOW if it was gas u kno.
  • I felt my first definite flutters on Tuesday when I turned 18 weeks. Have you ever had a muscle spasm in your eye? Or anywhere else? That's how I could describe it Lol only you can tell its arms and legs. It made me laugh so hard!! I felt it again today just as I was about to take a nap :)
  • I feel a tightening around my belly button sometimes feels like its being pushed out from inside my dr said sounds like braxton hicks and you will feel the more often the further along you are
  • I felt her little flutter at about 12 weeks but kicks started at like 15 weeks. I'm 19 weeks now and the hubby could feel her move about a week ago. She is super active and really strong so Idk if feeling her move at 15 weeks is typical. She is my second.
  • I felt it very low
  • Around belly button. I'm carrying really high...
  • I feel little movements when I'm in bed right along the spot where the top of my pants sit. I'm only 12 weeks but second pregnancy :)
  • @ashabash I've felt the same thing. Almost like the baby is pushing that spot somehow and staying there. I assumed it was the baby cause I know its not gas or cramping.
  • @starrxoxo9starrxoxo9 that is exactly how I described it to people!! lol- now it feels like bubbles popping since I'm starting to feel harder kicks :)
  • I have no idea how I managed to do that lol @starrxoxo
