Do I used to get uti's all the time! I actually went to the e.r. The week before I found out I was pregnant cuz of a uti. I constantly feel like I have one, it hurts to pee and hurts afterwards too. But I was tested and told I don't have one. Any ideas what might be causing this feeling? oh and I'll be 9 weeks tomorrow.

    I honestly don't know unless its a nerve being pressed by your uterus. Did the Dr say what it could be?

    No, I took the urine test last week. She just said I didn't have a uti. She was more concerned about my back pain. But I still have the pain urinating and some after.wards

    That happ to mii sis.. She's not pregg though n gets them alllll the time.. Their referring her to a urinologist.....?

    I went to a uroligist three years ago. My body just can't fight infection foot some reason. I was on daily antibiotics till I found out I was pregnant.

    Haha the exact same thing has been happening to me for over a year. It's likely not ur bladder that's the culprit. Have them do a blood test and check ur kidney and liver function (it will pinpoint where the infection is coming from). Then have them us ur kidneys too. My infection got so bad it leaked into my bloodstream and almost killed me (all while 5w along). I had a huge stone growing and it was blocking my uriter and I couldn't pee. Needless to say I had a few ER surgeries to get the infection under control and to remove the stone. Now I have tons of scar tissue. The infection I had was a type of uti but my body was resistant to the oral antibiotics and it got worse and spread to the kidney. At that point oral antibiotics r just a waste of time and money, I needed iv antibiotics. Now I have a perminatly damaged kidney and scar tissue cuz they were treating a "uti" and not the real problem a kidney infection. Plz plz plz get ur kidneys looked at cuz I almost bet that's where the problem is and its not a uti like they think. Hope this helps u some and keep me posted.

    Ps most urologists won't look at ur kidneys either they only focus on ur bladder. trust me I went to 3 of them and they never looked at my kidneys til it was too late!

    Oh wow, I just saw this! Crap I was just at my ob again today... Its still happening but she said me urine was fine... I guess I'll have to ask her about that next time! @kingsmama

    @smcox ya mine was fine too. It was clear with no smell or puss. But they only would check for protein and sugar. Ask them to culture it for u, they cannot deny it if u ask for them to do it. I've had this kidney infection from the beginning of my pregnancy and I'm almost 20w now :( and if u really want confirmation on what it is go see an infectious disease Dr. That's what I have to do cuz my OB doesn't know what to do cuz I'm allergic to all the cillins and resistant to oral antibiotics, so I'm limited to what they can put me on that's also safe for my son. But if u let it go on and on the bacteria multiplies super fast making it harder to treat. Keep me updated and gl mama :)

    @kingsmama I have an appointment with a uroligist next week cuz it hasn't gotten any better. Is there anything in particular I should ask or do when I go?
