Being Induced

I found out today I will be induced in 10 days. I'm quite nervous and would love any tips or information someone may have. How does it usually work? Does it mean ill have him the day I'm induced or could it go into the following day? This is my first baby so all of this is new to me. Any info would be helpful. Thanks :)

    you may give birth the following day but you will go into labour once they start induction. I was ment to be induced, they called me that day and told me they couldn't fit me in, I started crying, and went into labour that arvo Haha!!! So hopefully you go naturally!!!!!

    My Water broke with both of my girls, bit I didn't get any contractions. I had to get the medicine to be induced. My only advice is if you want an epidural, get it sooner rather than later. The contractions come reallly fast, reallly intense, and you dialate fast.

    Inductions are intense .. Bring things that calm you, music, books, photos .. Good luck!!

    My sister had her second induced, and gave birth the next day, for her third, she was scheduled, and went into labor the day before, so you never know, just do your best to be prepared.

    My friend was induced, she was in the hospital 2 days, they induced her all day Tuesday from like 7 am, took her off to eat the next day broke her water ay noon. By 6pm only 2cm they were going to do c section bc you can't set there that long she was so swollen from fluids in the iv and at 8pm she jumped to 8 cm and they did it that way instead of c sec.

    Will they will break ur water with like a long hook.thing to.start process of labor...labor can go as long as it takes..i went in at 7 n had my lil gurl at ,6:15 that nite

    I went into labor wit 2nd(im preg wit 5th now) I got an epidural which was just a shot in my spine not the one that stays in.it was supposed to last 4-6 hrs but it took the contractions away almost immediately so they had to give me medicine to induce me it was def more painful than my 1st or 3rd I was also induced wit my 4th.my babies like to stay in usually a wk or more past due my smallest was 8lbs n my last I was 4days over due and he was 10lbs so they induced me they said already wit this preg they wont let me go past my due date that they will induce me im very nervous bc it does hurt more but unfortunately as mommies we got do whts necessary:) but once ur babies born u will be so happy and its totally worth evry sec of pain if it wasn't ppl would stop havin babies,lol.I wish u all the best.why do the want to induce u if u don't mind me asking

    Im having horrible lower pains where sitting is all I can do. It hurts to lay down no matter the position, so im not sleeping at night.

    I was induced at 2am and had my little girl at 1245 that day. They will break your water. It was very intense but stay calm and hold on getting the epidural as long as you can if you want to be numb when you start pushing. They almost had to do a c sec on me because I wouldn't dilate past 2 but when they broke my water and gave me my epidural it took thirty minutes and I was ready to push. She was my first and I must say it wasn't that bad for me.

    im 38 weeks today. When I get induced he will only be 5 days early. I guess now knowing when hes going to come makes me even more nervous lol.

    they broke my water and gave me pitocin and I had my baby the same day, everyone is different and every pregnancy/delivery is different. One thing that kinda sucks is you don't ease into it with contractions...you go from nothing to OMG! Lol just remember to stay relaxed and try not to fight the pain...if you are someone who can't tolerate pain, get the epidural in the beginning. If you aren't fighting your body and the pain it will go more smoothly and possibly quicker. I wish you tons of luck..remember you can do this! Keep us posted!

    I was induced with my first. I started the inducing at eight on a Wednesday and they ended up giving me a c section Friday and three thirty. So I was in a labor for a very long time. My water broke on its own. They may or may not break your water depends on the hospital and doctor. It becomes very intense very fast. So make sure you bring things to distract you. I wish you the best. Everything will be great, once you hold your baby for the first time it makes it all worth it. :-)
