I am pregnant with my first and getting nervous about labor. I don't know what to expect. Does anyone suggest going to a birthing class? Also I heard the the afterbirth hurts worse than the baby.
I didn't go to a birthing class. All you need to kinda know is push like you are taking a number two and to push long and hard it comes natural I did the first two pushes wrong but then I understood what to do. For my first my daughter hurt afterwards I had tearing and they had to cut me but I didn't know till after giving birth. My second I didn't hurt at all he was 7 weeks early. Everyone thought I should have bE a c section with my first I'm super tiny and she was almost 8 pounds
I took one w my first 8yrs ago and I really learned a lot. The breathing exercises are great! They also teach the daddy about how they can be helpful in the hospital room!
I live in California and I am going through omni womens health and another one my dr recommended and they are also going to give me 4 maternity items free and everything in their store is half off. I told my dr that I was having trouble getting thing so I could be ready and that's how I got the second referral. Ask your doctor to refer you to some birthing classes and look some up online in your area. Plus the classes don't just teach you about having the baby, they teach you about infant care and nutrition and things like that.
