  • Ladies!! Pause, breathe, move on to a new post. And someone please tell me how the heck a placenta teddy is even made?? Lol!! More power to anyone who has the tummy to eat such a thing... I'm just proud of me for being able to change atomic diapers without gagging, Lmao!!!
  • on the first page there is a link and it has the basics... good luck!!!
  • At this one midwife place I went to in the beginning. Theyhad advertisements for a company that will make ur placenta into a gel capsule so u can take it everyday after u have baby like a vitamin.
I personally have mixed opinions on this topic. At first I thought it was super gross. But then I read up on it. Its in a gel cap. So u def dnt taste it, and they help with re-balancing ur hormones, help with post pardum depression, they help with ur ammune system. Animals do it for those reasons and to avoid ppredators. But that's beside the point. After reading that I actually considered it. It seemed the benefits outweighed my thoughtsof it being disgusting. Lol it still sounds gross but in a gel cap. I dnt think its that bad.
Now I'm not planning on doing this. However, the thought did cross my mind.. lmao

  • When the Catholic Church was first being founded they had to debunk all the other Christian sects of the time so they could be the "universal" church. There was a Gnostic sect that ate placenta and the Catholics said they were all hedonists and aborted babies to eat them. Then I guess they raged war on the peoples. Or so my foggy memory recalls. Could be mistaken.

For some reason a placenta bear made me think of that story.

  • Yeah @jwigs there's a lot of stories like that...and I'm glad most are historical refrences
  • bringing back the teddy bear!! jk...
