  • Is it bad for the baby?.& could I die? Or could it get worse?
  • Its not bad for the baby and you wont die from it, so don't worry. As long as you keep going to your yearly appointments you will be fine. They keep an eye on it and if it does turn worse there are procedures to control it. Most people (like myself) don't even know they have it because it shows no symptoms. I've only had one abnormal pap. They did a colposcopy(biopsy) on me and I've had good normal paps ever since. I promise it is nothing to worry yourself to death over.
  • Seriously, its as common as the common cold nowadays.. At least thats what my dr said. Its an immune problem... Once ur immune system gets better itll go away on its own. Sometimes it lays dormant for years, but being pregnant makes ur immune system weak... But its not gonna kill you. But I can say if it travels into the vagina & you get warts in there, you will have to have a c-section. But they go away... Keep your chin up & just educate yourself :)
  • I test negative for hpv but have had 2 abnormal paps...had a colp done with my first and my next colp is tuesday:s they hurt! My doc said a lot of times they clear themselves with a pregnancy....
  • Well it dose not always go away on it's own, and sometimes a leep has to be done, and that's where they cut the bad cells out. If they have to do this you will need to get a pap every 3 months for about a year then every 6 months then back to every year as long as the paps come back normal. But even if you have a leep there is still no real danger unless they keep coming back witch dose not happened often
  • Do u HAVE to get a c section if u have hpv?
  • No you don't need a c section
  • No you don't have to have a c section. Unless its bad they don't even bother with the colp. I have had it for a couple of years. My friend is 20 weeks prego and found out she has it and they did a colp on her.
