To GOD be the glory!!!

I am a Christian and in no way trying to force anyone to convert or whatever. Just sharing my story to those interested. :)
I just realized I have been on here for 2 months and never really introduced myself. :)
First of all, my name is Jordan Elizabeth. I'm from South Carolina and will be 23 on May 12th. I come from an awesome loving family. I have 2 sisters and 1 brother. Andrea will be 31 April 24, my brother Micah is 18 and my sister Bethany is 17. My parents will be married 35 years tomorrow (April 15)
My mom has 4 kids but in the process, she also lost 4 - including my twin. The Dr told her she could never have kids after she tried almost everything. My parents were in the air force so she even flew to turkey to try their stuff to try and get pregnant. But there was one thing she didnt try... when they were stationed in Colorado, she heard that an awesome preacher was attending a church there. She went and he prayed (Nicki Cruz) she felt movement and in 9 months, my older sister was born. God is good!!! Then my mom was pregnant and lost that one.. then she found out she was pregnant with me 8 YEARS later. She was using the restroom and she heard a splash. A tiny baby had fallen in the toilet and she was devastated. She went to the Dr and he did an ultrasound and there was another one! The dr said I would have spina bifida and would be a vegetable so he suggest she abort me. She said no that God allowed me to live so she knows that He has a purpose for me. Well, here I am NOT a vegetable and all that is wrong is I have hypothyroidism and a stigmatism in my right eye. The enemy tried destroying my other two siblings as well but failed! Yes, my mom lost 4 during her time of trying to have us but.God gave her 4 as well. To all you mothers and mothers to be, remember that God never said what we go through or will go through would be easy but He did promise He'd get us through it!
This girl that the Dr said would be a vegetable with spina bifida is now pregnant with her first baby. I'm 24 weeks tomorrow with a beautiful baby girl and due august 5. :-D I don't know you ladies well but I love yall and if there's anything you need me to pray for or just talk to me about, feel free to write or inbox me. :) yeah I'm young but with God, we are all mighty right? My life is by far perfect but He has blessed me in so many ways.
With whatever happens, to GOD be the glory.
Any awesome things yall wanna share? Id love to know. ;)

@Veteranswife you're very welcome. God doesn't do this stuff so that we keep it to ourselves. :)
@blessedmommyof3 oh so right you are, my friend! God is good!
@joyfulmama_my4th thank you so much! Congratulations to you as well!!! :-D
  • @BabyComingSoon143 Wow! What a great testimony. God is truely amazing. I can't thank Him enough for all He has blessed me with. I came from a divorced family, and I got married at age 18 and had 2 babies and was divorced myself by the time I was 21yrs old. My ex was very abusive and cheated on me. So I had lots of emotional and mental scars to deal with. But by the grace of God and as faithful as He is years later He blessed me with the best husband ever and we each had 2 kids from our previous marraiges, and together we have 2 little girls (3yrs, and 20 months) together and a baby boy on the way due in July. So it will be a total of 7 kids in all. We just c elebrated our 4 year anniversary this past March. I could not be any happier. THrough all my trials, and the heart ache God alone brought through it all and gave me my hearts desires, more than once I might say. I am grateful for all I am given, and by God grace I will make it through anything that may come my way. God doesn't give us anything we can't handle, and through our weakness He gives us strength. What a mighty God we serve. Thank you for sharing your story as I hope it will be helpful to someone as well as anyones else's story too. Blessings to you all!!! :)
  • God is awesome! He gave me the best family ever!
  • @Melinda326 Oh wow! Thank YOU for sharing!!! What an amazing story. 7 children.. what a blessing!!! Gods number. :) I too have been with abusive people and its crazy to know that I'm sure God didn't want me with them to begin with but because I went MY way, I got those results. I'm trying to put God in all I do and am praying for clear direction. I'm with an amazing guy (who id like to marry in the soon future) he's a Christian but not perfect either. We had tough times and still at times, things can get rough. He's not abusive at all BUT ... all things turn to good for those that love the Lord and are called for His purpose right? I need to make sure that God is in control and not me. Thanks again for sharing. Do you have a pic of your beautiful family? I bet you have awesome family pictures. Congratulations!!!!! :)
  • @BabyComingSoon143 You're welcome and thank you! I love this thread! :)
  • @BabyComingSoon143 Thank you! Yes I am very proud of my BIG family aven though people do tend to make comments, but I don't care. GOd gave me what I have for a reason and I only want to do what His will is. We live in the end times when Jesus will be coming back soon, and I want to be as prepared for His coming. I don't want to be left behind for anything, so I am always making sure my heart is right and that I am not living in sin, even though we all are sinners, but with that I am always asking for His forgiveness. We learned in church last night that the times are near as with all the natural disasters that have accurred around the world are mentioned in the bible. So our pastor keeps reminding us to be ready and we as Christians need to reach out to those who are lost or are not quite where they need to be. SO I think its great that we share our stories and witness to all that are lost. We are put on this planet for His purpose and will not our own. Do you ever watch the shoe on TLC 19 Kids and Counting? I love that show and family. I am always inspired by them. THey lead such a great example and we too have to be that great example too. We never know whos watching or listening to us. I thank you for sharing and hope we can reach out to those who need us. I know that even when we go in our own directions even out of the will of God, we still learn from what we went through and GOd uses that for us to witness to others by. He knew we would go in our direction even if its not where God wanted us to be then, but in the long run we come back to Him at least most do. I encourage women all around to reach out and stand up to speak the truths and help lead the way for God's light and word to be brought through a persons life so they can know Him and live for Him. Make any wrongs in their life right and live from that day forward in His will. We have to always seek His will first before our own. SOmetime the hardest things in life are the right things and when things come easy its usually the wrong things. Again thank you for this post and sharing your testimony and I hope it touches others. We need more posts like this more often, don't ya think? I hope you have an incredibly blessed day Jordan ELizabeth. And I too am hear if you or anyone else needs to talk or needs prayer. Feel free to message me or inbox me. BLessings to all!!! :)
  • @joyfulmama_my4th :-D you're welcome. People need positive threads. Doesn't mean its all fine and dandy but stuff with the truth. I know I get scared if the Dr said something that sounds odd or if I don't feel her move a little. Lol But I think it'd be so cool to have a place where you know people will accept you and not judge you no matter what off the wall question you ask. I'm actually thinking of creating a small site on the computer for a place like that. What do you think? I want it to be a successful,.God filled place where prayers can be freely requested or people just praying. But also make it pregnancy related too. Like with promises that God has spoken especially for children. Just a thought :) taking nothing away from pregly though.. lol I don't know If I could make something like this but ya know, just an extra something to check during the day.
  • @melinda326 oh yes! More threads like this indeed. :) God uses it all for His glory. If I didnt make the mistakes I did, I wouldnt have to praise Him for helping me through it. As hard as some obstacles are, a lot of them are good. If people had it easy 24/7 and never needed a thing, who would talk to God? No one would need to thank Him because they'd never have to ask Him for anything. Do you know the song "Praise You in this storm" by casting crowns? It's beautiful and I try to focus like that. If not, you should YouTube it. :) We are in the end times for sure!!! We must always ask for forgiveness and make sure we are a candle in the darkness and not join it. I am by far positive all the time but that's something else I'm asking God for... I don't wanna be negative. I hope you have an extremely blessed day as well. It's nice knowing extras about people so when I see their posts, we know where they're coming from on a more personal level rather than just another pregly user. :)
  • @BabyComingSoon143 That is a great idea! You can definitely do it! You may have come across Pregly so that God could inspire you to do just that. I would pray about it and ask Him for direction. He will guide you through every step. Keep me updated.
  • @joyfulmama_my4th I sure will, thank you! It's been on my mind for about a week but I put it off because I'm scared no one would be interested. Oh gosh, I guess if its Him telling me, I should just go ahead and do it right? Haha it'll work as He planned if its truly Him. I'll work on it today.
  • God is good ;) Thanks for sharing your story.
  • @BabyComingSoon143. Oh yes I am extremely familiar with that song. It is a great one to listen to when things just aren't going well. We should keep posts like this going. I agree that it is nice knowing where a person is coming from and not just as a pregly user. Blessings to everyone.
  • @BabyComingSoon143 Yes! I struggled with fear for most of my life, and whenever the enemy attempts to attack me again I remember this verse: For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7...
  • @joyfulmama_my4th oh thank you!!! :) I struggle with that too... quite often, actually but I will remember that scripture when it happens again. See, your experience is helping me. :-D ah its exciting. I'm such a goob. Haha
  • Amen! I was two years old and diagnosed w osteomylitis, the doctors said my leg should be amputated, here I am able to use two legs 28 yrs later. When I was 22 in the Army I was in an accident that the doctors said should have paralyzed me, not that time either. A couple years later my arms did go numb from that injury and the Army decided I was no longer deployable in a world wide setting, this was a year after I married the love of my life and bc of my commitment to the Army and the calling I felt, we saw each other less than 54 days total for a year and three months, no more than a couple days at a time. I left the army and had surgery and when I awoke I could feel both arms again. Four months later I was rearended and within a year my arms were going numb again and I could barely use them. It took another few years for the damage to show up in film, so I suffered knowing, all in time. The while putting off children because of the pain and meds... I wanted to not hurt a baby because I wad hurting. Finally I had my second surgery and now have three vertebrae fused together. Hubby and I tried for years to get pregnant and finally found out male factor infertility and could not have children. Last summer we did get pregnant (OMG!) But it was an ectopic. I wanted to die rather than take those shots, but I knew, living through so much, that was not going to happen. After ttc through ivf, lost another baby and failed attempts. Hubby then found out about a surgery that would increase our chances by 60%. A few days After his surgery he had minor complications that we took him to ER. While there, I started bleeding heavily and cramping severley. They admitted me and we found out I was pregnant... With twins! I was also suffering a subchorionic hemorrhage that was not hurting babies and I was six weeks a long. Between then and the next week we learned we lost one baby. BUT now here we are, pregnant with baby number one, I can walk, and type this story out. I still have pain occasionally, but am pain med free and it just reminds me, God let me keeps these legs to carry this child, arms to hold and love them and support them, pain to humble me and remind me that he gives and takes away, and the losses of the babies, well they were just so awesome he called them home early. I am married to an incredible and supportive man who gets angry at what I've been through and he "has it too easy" but I remind him he married me and has that burden. We are so happy despite now being sick for weeks, lol, but the main thing is, he never gives us anything we can't handle! Thanks for sharing all of you and sorry mine is a bit long!!! :)
  • all the time!! Thanks for your story..
  • Song that got me through the last year: Josh Wilson "Before the morning"
  • @jellybelly1015 oh my gosh!!!! What a life you've had! Praise God for all He has done and all He is going to do. Congratulations on this baby. How far along are you? Your story brought tears to my eyes. Yes your body is greatly blessed and you're able to carry, hold and love your baby. It's also great that your heart didnt grow cold because of your experience - Some people do. don't worry about the length of your story. God will bless the people who read it. :)
  • You're welcome. Glad to help in any way! You have encouraged me as well! This IS exciting! Lol!
  • God is amazing! !! I love how he provides!!! We both have three kids, funny two boys and girl same order and now have four weeks and one day til our little girl is due. Nevaeh Faith because we haven't exactly done things the way God wants us too, kinda backwards. We'd moved away from God doing it our way, but thank God he watched over us and kept us safe!!!! I thought I was done having kids, 17,14 &10 his our 14, 12 & 11. God used our daughter to get dad to say no to drugs and walk away. He has turned life over to God gave Him control I'm so glad. Now the tugh time of proving to others is ahead. More great news with God's timing, he comes home from prison(child support violation) may 5, she's due may 13. He's been going to church services every day but Tues, he's learned so much. I thank God for this baby even though I'm almost 38 older than I wanted to be having a baby, because of God and baby dad changed life before going to prison in Feb. God is good, all the time! !!

@jellybelly1015 Wow, you have a wonderful testimony as well! What a blessing for others to be able to read or hear stories about continuing to trust God through the trials in our lives. My parents tried for 13 years to have a child. The doctors told my mom that it was due to her tilted uterus, which was untrue. My father actually had some sort of blockage that was preventing them from conceiving. He had a surgery similar to your husband, maybe even the same one. I was conceived 3 months later. My mom calls me her miracle baby (I'm her only child). We are very close. Just thought i'd share since the ending of your story seemes similar. By the way, congratulations to you and blessings to all of you! :)
  • @joyfulmama_my4th that is what I am calling this baby! Glad they didn't give up ;)
  • @jellybelly1015 Aww, too sweet! Your baby will be blessed by those words! Thank you. I'm so blessed, greatful and thankful to be here!

@new_mommy9_21 Ah, another wise woman! :) congratulations to you too!!!
@jellybelly1015 God put it in me to start this thread and I am so grateful. Through this, we made friends and see how God works through others and its good to see over and over that He is faithful with all. :) sometimes I feel so small and wonder why He even bothers with me. But I am grateful regardless and am so thankful He doesn't give me what I truly deserve. But I won't question it ... lol ill take it and receive it. :-D @joyfulmama_my4th Blessings to you as well!!!!
