has anyone here had the leep procedure then later became pregnant?

I had the leep procedure March last year. I never intended to have another child so didn't ask about possible problems in future pregnancies. An the doc that I saw was not very interested in communicating with me at all. As a matter of fact I think she screwed it up which wouldn't surprise me since she put an IUD in me when she obviously knew my history of cancer as well as my allergies. The IUD almost killed me an she refused to remove it til I threated to take it out myself. Now I'm preg an 15 weeks from my due date. I just switched my medical today cause I don't trust the clinic im at they don't even have an obgyn. The past week my back has hurt an I've had that pressure feeling you get at the end of pregnancy. I've only felt this way the last few days before the birth of my two daughters. Does this sound like my cervix is not holding? I'm thinking about calling the er tomorrow to have them check me out cause I don't think I should wait til Monday. My new clinic couldn't get me in today. What are your thoughts? Expieriance?

    I had one about 2yrs ago. My doctor is aware of my history and didn't bring up any concerns as a result of the procedure.

    I had it last april got preggo in july but mc'd dont lno if had to do with that but now im 27 wks preggo no complications.

    Thanks. Im just worried cause I know it can cause the cervix to be incompetent if so much is taken. What they took from me was almost the size of a golf ball. I was shocked. Congrats to you an hope you have a great pregnancy.

    I had one done in summer of 09. Im 28 weeks now on complete Bedrest in the hosp. My 18 week us showed a cervical length of 4cm which is great. My doc thought I would do fine with my pregnancy. At 26 weeks I lost my mucous plug. I was completely efaced and 2cm dilated. Doc only checked me cause I complained of alot of yellow mucous. He said he almost sent me home and told me vag discharge was normal. Im so glad he checked me. I never had any symptoms other than the mucous plug. No cramping no backache no bleeding.

    I had one done in aug ad got pregnant in oct my doc said it was fine to b preg after, and they just cheak me everytime to make sure my civics is not getting to short so as long as it is not too short you should be fine but id still cheak with ur doc to be sure

    Thanks. The clinic I was at only did the first apt to test. Then did an ultrasound to find out due date. I want in not long after that cause I was having problems an they passed them off. I live in a small area, the doc us a travel, I have no car an everyone works so getting there has been hard. But I switch clinics now an im waiting to get in. This is my third so I know how im supposed to feel ab wasn't worried til this started. When I stand up an even while sitting an laying I feel like my water is ready to burst an the baby will fall out so to say. I can't lift a car seat without feeling it. Even walking at a pace faster then slug.

    I would go get checked. I wasn't worried about anything. I thought I was going to have a wondeful pregnancy since I hadn't had any problems for 26 weeks. Now look at me. Im stuck flat in the bed for the duration of my pregnancy. My doc said if he hadn't checked me and admitted me to hospital my water would have broken at work or at home. Then I would have a 26 weeks premature baby. I don't wish this on anyone. Its a living nightmare!!!

    Im so sorry that its happening to you. Do you have any other kids? I have two girls already. I don't know how in going to take care if them if I get stuck in a bed. Their dad doesn't even take them once a week muchness for two days in a row. The only family I have around here is my brother an he's got two of his own and works a hard job. My sis in law works alot too but they do help as much as they can.

    Went to urgent care today. My cervix is shut but I have a very bad bladder/uti. I had the doc at the clinic I just transfered from test for that in february and was told my symptoms were just my body adjusting. I've had it since then an the doc said I'm lucky I didn't go into labor yet. SH clinic is getting a piece of my mind for this. I feel like I'm in labor just without contractions.

    I had rwo leeps done and had to get a cerclage to fix my incompetent cervix

    I had a leep 2 years ago. Im 21+5. My dr doesnt know about it, cuz i.forgot about it. Maybe that is something i should bring up at my next appt.

    Its possible that it could be. I've read up on it quite a bit lately. Most face no problems in the future. About 1 in 100 lead to incompitant cervix. Either the cervix can't hold the weight or there us also the possibility of scar tissue making so the cervix doesn't open when labor hits. She should have that looked into for future pregnancies.

    @KerrideeRN that's why im laid up in the hosp w incompetent cervix. My doc said from now on he will do a cerclage on me at 13 weeks. I had a leep in 2009.
