Baby clothes smells like wood!!!

LOL so i bought my daughter her crib set with a dresser. I washed all the clothes i had for her and started putting it away well yesterday after my babyshower i stuffed all the new clothes on the bottom drawer so that i can wash it and i realized all the clothes i had washed before smelled like wood because the dresser is new. Now idk what to do do i re wash it or does anybody know of something i can use to get the smell out??? Its really bugging me

    Maybe febreeze for the clothes and then line the drawers with contact paper!

    Put a bar of soap in the drawer...makes the clothes smell good, and neutralizes the odor of the wood. I always prefer a lavender scent.:)

    I DID THE SAME THING LOL I BOUGHT MY 2YR OLD A NEW BED SET ND THE DRESSER MADE ALL HIS CLOTHES SMELL LIKE WOOD WHT I DID WAS GO TO THE DOLLAR STORE AND BOUGHT THOSE RUBBER MAT THINGS THAT U CAN PUT IN UR CABINETS SO UR DISHES WON'T SLIDE... ND I PUT THEM IN HIS DRESSER WITH SOFTENER SHEETS UNDER THEM SO IT WAS THE SHEETS,THE MAT THEN HIS CLOTHES SMELLS GOOD NOW ND IDK HOW LONG IT'LL LAST SO FAR IT'S BEEN 3 MONTHS ND STILL SMELL GOOD BUT I DIDN'T EVEN THINK OF THE SOAP BAR THING LOL

    I do something close to @sammiegee87 does, I love lavender scent too! so I bought a bag of dried lavendar put small amount in mesh bag and stuck in the drawer. I was afraid to use soap because I didn't want it to get on the clothes. I know unrinsed soap on the skin makes you super itchy.

    I will have a lavender smelling little boy when he comes! Haha

    Dreft makes an odor spray. If you put a nice smelling soap in a nylon sock thing from a shoe store it will help keep the soap off the clothes. Some people take a wipe and wipe down the inside. Try to Google ways to get rid of the wood smell. I know we have aired out the wood pieces outside before putting it together and that helped big time

    thanks ladies i re washed it all and put dryer liners and it still smells lol im going to try to put the soap and lavender is a good smell so i will try that next :)
