I'm atheist. And depending on the situation, it doesn't usually bother me when people say they'll pray for me. However I dont like when people say they'll pray for me because I dont believe. Thats wrong in my opinion
I'm a Christian. I'm not perfect as the bible states that no man is bcuz ALL hav sinned & fallen short of God's glory, but daily I strive to b more lik Him.. (: after reading comments on this post; I wud say I would rather not hav any prayers frm you kind ladies.. I love u all dearly but I feel if we don't even believe in the same thing how can u pray for me??.. not being mean nor rude neither tryna start anything but...id rather pray 4 my self. & as the Word says: do not argue the Word so I won't. if u dnt agree wit me shake it off, cuz sum1 may silently disagree wit u & wat u believe .. BUT I will say may God bless ALL reguardless of all the diff beliefs in conclusion of my comment bcuz its better to believe in something than nthn @ all.
@Ashley_smashley I do when we get around to it & are feeling Like it. LOL so I am LDS now as well but we are soooooo not typical of the religion. We don't want to be "ruled" or told what we should and shouldn't do. And were covered with tats (I also have bright pink in my hair LOL). But after not knowing what to believe in for the majority of my life I then decided to look into it. He wanted NOTHING to do with it! But, I did join last year. I agree with what you posted though & understand it. Just was curious where u were from BC living in Massachusetts I never heard of it until I met him.
Nice to see this post... neat to see how all walks of life come together through the bond of motherhood. I myself lived near Salem Massachusetts and loved to research wiccan, I love the Baptist church I used to go to, and find Buddhism and other religions fascinating!!! Oh, and I have Judaism in my family. LOL
Christian...we go to an assemblies of God church that has all walks of life and religion. I work everyday towards a better life and walk with God. I don't think saying "Ill pray for you" is bad or offensive unless you are just paying lip service. If you ever see me post it, you can guarantee I will stop what I'm doing and be praying. I think sometimes it would be better for people to just say ill be thinking about you. I love this discussion! It is very educational and a great reminder of how many different cultures and religions our world is made up of!
