Prometrium

Who else is on Prometrium? Dr put me on it at 6 weeks due to my progesterone level being only a 4.7. It is making me sick as hell! Before I started it I felt great! Now I'm sick all day and night and having horrible nightmares! Is anyone else in the same predicament?

    I took it till 12 wks, madr me soooo tirrd. I started takinh it befire bed. It was worth it though. Before yhis pregnancy I had a miscarraige due to low progedterone levels and now im 28 wkz pregnant!

    I was on it for 18 days, right before I started week 12 of my pregnancy. From what I understand, once you're past 3 months, they don't usually treat with Prometrium. Did they say how long you have to be on it?
    It made me extra nauseated & moody as hell. Way more moody than normal for pregnancy. My emotions were all over the place. It went away not long after my treatment had run its course.
    They told me low Progesterone levels are associated with miscarriage, which I have a history of, & that this medicine might prevent me suffering a third pregnancy loss. I'm now at week 29, & still going strong, so just think of your baby & how worth it this all will be! :)

    He wants me to take it through my second trimester. I have history ot miscarriage as well, 2 in the first trimester, and one in the second. I also have history of preeclampsia, which turned to eclampsia and I had my daughter 5 weeks 2 days early. And since I gave birth to her, I have had 3 cone biopsies, and 2 leeps. I just feel terrible, and I'm overwhelmed by all the possible mishaps my doc has made me aware I might have to face. And to top if off I am a full time Mommy to a never resting 2 year old. Sigh. Maybe I just needed to vent.... lol. Thanks for the responses ladies!

    Yes I'm on prometrium b/c I had 2 miscarriages. I'm 7 weeks now and things are looking good. I take it vaginally and have no side affects. I have taken it orally and got very tired and dizzy. You can take the oral pils vaginally. Just be sure to ask you doc first.

    I am about 9 wks 4 days and I was put on prometrium last thursday due to low horomone levels.. I have stopped spotting and feel amazing! I am not sick anymore, I have energy... it is amazing! I have a follow up ultrasound on Thursday to see if there is still a heartbeat... I was diagnosed with threatened miscarriage last week.. I am hoping to see that flicker!!!

    I am on prometrium too bec I had a miscarriage two yrs ago too..my progesterone level apparently was 14 and my dr apparently wanted it to be at least 18 and so thas why he gave me a prescription ..they checked my levels 3 days later and went up to 47 and hcg levels are progressing as well ..it does make you sick though but think of that little baby you will meet on your due date :)
