this hasn't happened to me, but I was wondering about anyone else out there...
I'm sure we've all heard of or seen the show, "I didn't know I was pregnant".. has that happened to anyone on here? it happened to my fiances cousin, & my moms co-worker but I didn't really get into details.
I just wondered if anyone wanted to share an interesting story..?
just for conversation.. (:

  • Omg. I don't believe that show! Lol. How could you not know! I mean In the beginning, yes. I didn't know for 6 weeks. But 9 months, jesus!
  • I didn't know with my first one.... I had periods at first
  • iI have never seen the show though...what is it about .
  • I think the women on there have titanium stomachs or something. How do you not feel something kick you in the guy or in your whooha? Really that is some painful stuff. Lol
  • It's about women who go the entire 9 months of their pregnancy, right up until they actually give birth, having no clue they were even pregnant in the first place. I believe it's on the network, "TLC" - The Learning Channel? I saw an episode where a woman went to the ER with severe pain & delivered one baby while on the toilet, then went on to deliver a second. Twins! How could you ever not know you were preggers? For me, (sorry if this is TMI), the breast & nipple changes could not be ignored! But maybe the pregnancy hormone, in rare cases, doesn't effect strong changes on certain women?
  • well I guess that a lot of the women think they can't get pregnant so they don't ever think they are if something out of the ordinary happens. also, they don't gain weight or show so they don't think they're pregnant. I think its so strange that you wouldn't feel the baby kicking.. lol maybe the babies are just inactive though. afterall, if the mothers don't show, they obviously don't have room to move. lol
but I just don't see how you wouldn't feel something there, regardless if it moves. if your belly doesn't poke out, where the heck does it go?! lol I just can't imagine.
  • I am not sure about not knowing for the whole nine months but with my first I went 7 and half months about, without knowing! I'm happier I found out at 12 weeks with this pregnancy, much nicer when you have all the tests and time to get ready. :-)
  • A coworker says she didn't find out until she was 5 months pregnant when she went in for a PAP. I guess the placenta rested on her cervix, so she still bled and she thought she was having her period. She's a big girl, so I suppose it might be more difficult to tell she was starting to show.

But when I asked her if she had any nausea she said she was miserably ill the whole damn time. So. How do you go 5 months of being sick and not suspect a damn thing? She even has stories about puking all over herself after she found out she was pregnant.

Word, often impolite and tactless, have been falling out of my mouth lately. But I haven't yet asked her these questions and more, thankfully. Like, how did she not notice that she was crying at every little thing? She was young, I think 19, when she got pregnant. Maybe that's part of the explanation.
  • Wow! Im addicted to that show! I get so mad at the tv when a baby is born onto a floor or in the toilet and no one picks it up. I'm like...TAKE OFF YOUR SHIRT AND WRAP THE BABY UP!!!! Ahhhh!!!! Lol
  • @artist I saw tht one. She had a severe case of diabetes and didnr get her period for like 14 yrs. So for her I can understnd a lil bit. Plus she was obese. The other girl who had her bby in a camp bathroom had me twisted. Cuz really hw don't you kno
