fundal height & wrong due date

When I first found out I was pregnant I couldnt remember the exact (first day)date of my last period. I told the doctor Aug. 3, but I knew it was off. At 18w3d (1/210/2010) I had my first u/s & it showed I was 19w4d. I told my doctor & the u/s tech my due date was off, they didn't listen.I went for a prenatal appt Wednesday,my OB took my fundal height & the baby measured 2cm over, it was a 28 instead of 26. She insists I have a big baby. I told her I figured the date of my period which was not August 3, 2010. It was July 28,2010 and she still disagrees. Has this happened to anyone & am I right? The OB says I'm 26w3d

    O yea.... sure date will fluctuate.... I have had three ultrasounds all have given me different due dates.... the baby is just big.... but thing to do is take your original due date and be prepare for anything to happen around 36 weeks.... if the ultrasound has a drastic difference they MIGHT change it but it is rare

    She said she wasnt going to change it because It's just a week apart, but its just getting on my nerves LOL. This is my first baby so its making me crazy

    Yea.... my daughter changed SO much.... but least you know it is growing well.... just keep track of it on your own.... have a danger period of 1 month before my due date that I have hospital bags packed, clothes washed and the house ready.... good luck though.... I know it can get a

    LOL... thanks! Things haven't been adding up & she kept reassuring me but like you said he will come when he's ready.

    they changed my due date cuz of my ultrasound but according to the ultrasound my due date was a month and 2 days off for some reason

    One thing my OB told me was u/s don't lie! LOL. That's why I'm so annoyed. Lmbo

    That is odd.... they will change it then.... I had one yesterday I am 21w 3d and he was measuring at 22w 6d lol.... but his dad is 6'2" so he already has long legs.... lol.... and honestly the only reason they give you a due date is because if you go over about a week they want to discuss other ways of speeding things up or how to get the baby out

    What is fundal height? And when and how do they take it??

    When they measure the baby by ultrasound also the will measure how far up your uterus comes too

    @ about 20 weeks It's a measurement from your pubic to your uterus to see how big the baby will be. My OB uses tape measure though

    So I go in for a visit with my ob on Wednesday, I will be 17w 4d will they do that then? Or not until my my 20 Wk u/s appointment which is feb 22nd?

    They will measure with a tape measure each time, well they did with me, ultrasound will be at 20 weeks

    my date with both boys was 2 weeks different between period and u/s this time I didnt even have a period but baby eill come when its ready anyway ;)

    Mine started groping at 35 weeks that when the time draws near is when it starts dropping because the baby is getting into position

    It rises untill your baby drops which could be any time from 30-40 weeks. Most ppl about 36weeks. Some ppl feel like they can't breath until it drops lol.

    I can't sit for a long time because it hurts & he haven't dropped yet.. LOL & I can't breath. Lol

    Congrats on your little boy :-) I will be glad when the whole process is over. It's just scary to me & I'm dreading the delivery.

    I am 32 weeks and measure 3 weeks bigger and have since the beginning and I know the first day of my last period and doc changed my due date to a earlier date it is normal and I have almost 9 lb babys that is why measurement are off
