  • I wish I knew,this my first pregnancy.My mother was up and about two weeks later,and my aunt could barely move for like a month,so I would guess it depends....??
  • I was in labor for 16 hours I pushed for 6 minutes and he was out but I had a fourth degree tare and I had stitches it hurt n I bled for 10 or 11 weeks it sucked but its not unbearable i could walk and go up the stairs n use the bathroom right after I had him plus ur so in love n busy with ur baby that its not to bad :)
  • @ladynplus1momma ouch!! Yea I guess you're probably so distracted you don't notice it all the time...I'm just a wimp lol

    Oops stupid phone lol
  • Lol im a wimp to and sometimes it suckwd but they take good care of u in the hospital and make sure ur not in to mych pain and then when u go home n ur in pain just call ur doc n they will call u in something dont worry it doesnt last long and if it was that bad people wouldnt have more lol so dont worry to much :)
  • I was cut and I tore really bad so I was sore for a couple months.
  • @starrxoxo9 - After my daughters birth it took about 3wks to not feel any pain. I tore w/her so I had to have stitches. It was bareable pain, I just couldnt sit down strait on my bum, had to sit at an agle by putting a pillow or towel under one butt cheek. Lol.. If you have a shower w/a hand held sprayer that'll be ur best friend for a few weeks. It is true that you'll be so busy taking care of and enjoying every moment w/ur baby that you'll barely notice it. Good luck and try not to stress. :-)
  • Thanks everyone :) I hope this girl has a little head!! Lol
  • this was my first and i had her on the 5th im not sore at all :) just get extra tuks n use the squirt bottle its magical!
  • @mommajan I hope I'm as lucky as you!! Did you have any stitches?
  • Lol I keep hearing about this magical squirt bottle!!
  • I left my bottle at the hospital so I have to use a cheap, plastic water bottle. Works the same. I am 10 says after labor my stitches are fine now, but I have this other pain that makes moving impossible. Take lots of ib profin (sp.) Take regular baths and rest. I think I over did myself the first week oops. Dermaplast I have discovered works wonders after the burning goes away. Thanks to pregly women for that one.

  • Oh @starrxoxo09 it is magical. Lol. When are you due?
  • @starrxoxo9 nope not a stitch! my dr was really cool n kept lubing me up each push. my lil girl even came out with her arm over her eye! the squirt bottle will be your best friend i promise :) plus id take extra huge panties that way you dont have to wear those sexy fishnet ones they give you lol
  • Lol @mommajan the sexy fishnet ones bahaha soo true :) and nightgowns come in handy too :)
  • I was never cut or tore but i had a lot of back pain for 6 weeks. Doctor said that was due to me having scoleosis though.

  • I was sore for a few days after with my first. My second I was ready to go home 3 hours after! I have fast labor to tho. My first was born 2 1/2 hours after water broke and my second was born in 8 mins! I hope I make it to the hospital this time!
  • With my first I had an episiotomy and was just uncomfortable down there for about a week.
  • @angieahrens once you hold your baby, you won't even remember the pain. Every time she/he looks at you nothing hurts. You don't even care. Thats how I feel at least.
  • I think it is for a long time. I found this to be the worst part with my first baby and didn't feel right again for a couple months. In fact it is the part I am most scared of this time also.
  • I also tore real bad and had to have quite a bit of stitches, so maybe that's why. It wasn't totally unbearable unless I went to the bathroom then it was a lot worse.
  • @richjen24 well I hope I have a stretchy vagina! Lol I don't wanna tear!

    @krazymomofadrian I'm due Sept 6th so I have a ways to go, but I have a bad habit of psyching myself out lol

    @mommajan lmao!!

    @due71011 that's exactly what I'm afraid of!!
  • If ur scared try stretching ur vagina using your fingers also the inside walls. Massage them too do this a week or so b4 labor n it shud keep u from tearing. Also kegals. I read all this online btw
  • Tearing isn't that bad they numb you down and if I didn't look I wouldn't have known. I barely notice them. Don't worry about it. It is worth it. Good luck momma :D
  • @starrxoxo9 dont be scared of anything. youll do just fine. the contractions are the worst part just make sure not to eat cuz youll most deff poop lol. n when your body says push for goodness sake push! lol
  • @krazymomofadrian aw thanks!!

    @mommajan oh that's my #2 labor fear. Literally!! Ha ha
