so my mil is a young grama like early 40s i think shes really nice n stuff but i hate how hard she tries to stay young! she puts on tons of make up, rarely eats (so shes super skinny and wears skin tight clothes), she even has her tounge n belly button pierced. i guess i sound jelous since by bf made me stop wearing make up n getting ready but its alittle much or is it just me?

    No i totally agree with you! That is alot to much lol my mom is 38 and i would die if she dressed like that! I mean grow up! Older women who dress like that just need attention....disgusting!!!

    Haha.. my mil wears ugg boots and tights with sweater dresses and big belts

    I refuse to wear any of that because of her. She's almost 60

    Umm I plan on being one of those older women that dresses and acts young and I won't care if it embarrasses my kids lol I'll be 29 FOREVER!!!!! ;)

    @rachdb i completely agree my mom use to come in my closet to find something to wear when i was 13 and she was 33 lol. But i am confused why he dont want you to wear makeup

    he says i look better without it n just doesnt want other guys looking at me. i only wore eyeliner i never even wore eyeshadow or anything. he kinda took away my whole look, always saying "your a mom now" but i mean his is way worse than i ever was.@AandK1031 @Almost4 @Karla_with_a_K @anadoll92

    I don't get why females let their boyfriends tell them that they can't wear makeup what they can cannot wear really if its something I wanna do makes me feel good bout myself I'm gonna do it who owns this body anyways just sayin its so annoying

    @blueberrysmom its just im use to women dressing their age im 21 n id never dress like that i mean i had 11 piercings but planned on taking them all out by 25. idk im not being a "hater" i guess im just jelous :/

    I guess she is not the image that comes to mind when you think of a grandma, but I'm sure she is interesting. Wear some makeup if you want, lots of mommies do, myself included.

    Thats how my soon to be mil is. Except the piercings. It bugs me soo much. I understand. She is 40 and had another baby in jan so shes jealous that im pregnant now. Well I should havehim in a couple weeks but she doesnt care..

    @mommy_of_ adriana you have no idea! i let him get to me, its my fault. i could never understand why it bothered him so much. i love looking pretty for him but hes so self consious i have to pay for it :( its not fare but i love him. i sound like im dessperate to keep him but im always the one being begged to stay. blah my relationship is COMPLICATED!

    @mommy_of_adriana I'm on both sides of that. I change my hair a lot. Some styles my bf loves, some he can't stand. Just cause he doesn't like it doesn't mean I'm taking it out immediately. However, it does feel good when he likes how I look. Sometimes I won't repeat a style if I know he hates it, even if I like it.

    Maybe if I had a bf and one I cared about I might do something to make him happy except the makeup thing but I'm kinda a lil bitter at the moment could care less what a Guy wants lol

    I agree with @almost4 My mom went through a phase where she was wearing the same type of clothes as me and it was totally weird!!!! I was 14 and it kind of freaked me out because she was NEVER like that. (It was right after my parents got divorced and I think she felt like she needed to) on the other hand, my grandma is like 65? And she dresses in the style but she doesn't over do it. She looks damn good! Lol but doesn't look Like she's trying to be 20.

    Just bc you're a mom doesn't mean that you have to quit wearing make-up. If anything, your boyfriend should want you to enhance your appearance and let other men see what a beautiful woman that he has! And also, sounds like his mom needs to tone it down a bit. Your bf should tell her that she's a grandma now and she shouldn't dress the way that she does.

    I'm 42. I have a grandson who is almost 18 months and a granddaughter due 7/7. I do color my hair to cover the gray (had gray since I was 22). But I dress appropriately. I don't party...:) I love being Grammy!

    @blueberrysmom aww im sorry! I didn't mean that 38 or 40 is old. Im sure you dress age appropriate... i just meant that at 40 u shouldnt have ur tongue pierced or wearing tons of makeup or wearing less clothes than i do
